Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

If male viera do get added, I think their ears will be the same as the females. Just like how male and female miqo'te have the same tail options.

The next images are not fan art, but since I’ve been getting into fire emblem recently and came across this character maybe some will like the design. Perhaps males will get a better flat/folded ear option than female Viera did in the future.

I'm kinda upset I forgot about Yarne. Been too long since I played awakening.

I'd be fine with his type of build since its not overly large. His build is more akin to Midlander so I'm perfectly fine with this.

See, I'm strange - all this confirms to me is that they're not working on the headpieces to fit the heads of Viera at the moment. Makes me wonder just when are they even going to go through them all to have them fit? You would think the mogstation items would be first and foremost on that list. Begs the question on how they're going to go about it. Update all the headpieces at once?

Also, does the outfit work for Au'ra? part of me thinks it's intentional that the ears are supposed to stick out like that - much like auri horns.

I have run a low level dungeon, got a headpiece (dont remember which one) and was shocked when this was shown..why SE would you choose to change that one and not maybe those job locked hats? Sometimes I really wonder. (And laughed really hard when I saw the pictures of Kryles outfit on reddit)

I have an honest question: why anyone is surprised? SE has been doing this since ARR. The gear is not adapted to the necessities of the different races. Just happens that Viera's ears are super obvious, like tails.

Sadly, the average Viera headgear will look like that. Instead of SE adapting all I'll prefer specific headgear for us (like Fran's Helmet). I mean, the ideal scenario will be SE stop cutting corners and fix all pieces of gear for all races... but is not going to happen :/

Also I agree that it's bizarre that new gear such as Job gear for Shadowbringers wasn't adapted for Viera. They should fix those headgears, but should doesn't mean they ever will be fixed sadly. Elezen is taking some getting used to but I have more freedoms now than with Viera.

I mean....honestly, did people really expect the hood would hide the ears? they're a part of their body, not some accessory they can put on or take off and cutting holes so the ears could comfortably poke out seems the most "realistic" approach. I'm kinda surprised they can wear the hood at all tho.

Like the werewolf ears. When a Viera wears the Werewolf ears you get this.

It works even though you have to imagine that they stuffed their 2 foot long knife ears into something much smaller.
This is an item that, regardless of races, covers the character's ears.

You also have the werewolf body (and 2 other tops in the game IIRC) that have a tail which replaces the tail of any race that wears it so they're ok with replacing parts with glam sometimes.


So you'd think that a hood with large ear socks would do the same, right? Treat them like anyone else and hide their ears ... nope, you get them clipping right through in a horrible way. Sooo ... they're treated like Horns in this case?

Ok, so if it's cool to allow this abomination why not allow them to clip through job hats?

It's all very confusing when you think about it and it makes me wonder why they even have the hood show for Viera.

I have to comment on this again and say I wish I could laugh at this, but this only just continues my disappointment on
how poorly they have released and treated the Viera and Hrothgar friends.
I'm actually embarrassed too. This is like a rookie mistake.
This is truly unacceptable. I'm trying to wrap my head around how this even passed the team.

With that said, more people I know are switching races back to their previous because of how limited the new races are.
Looking at this, makes me think they didn't care about them. They just wanted people to stop begging. It's better
to have a nicely finished race than this mess. They did the same thing to BLU and it didn't come out well at all either.

With all this tied in, I can't say that I see male Viera coming in the near future because of these releases.
I do hope to see male Viera someday though, so I support this thread fully!
I hope to see some much needed love and fixes later on. What a shame.

I wasn't surprised at all. That's the problem. It's really sad that this is what we can expect.

They should make this one of the main images on the store page of the Krile Outfit. Like Lauront suggested.
