I mean....honestly, did people really expect the hood would hide the ears? they're a part of their body, not some accessory they can put on or take off and cutting holes so the ears could comfortably poke out seems the most "realistic" approach. I'm kinda surprised they can wear the hood at all tho.

Tbh I can't even really imagine how exactly they could adjust hoods for Viera ears. For us Miqos we sometimes have headpieces where ears are hidden as if they don't exist, but our ears are kind of small, soft and flexible so we can... like... I dunno, tank them up (if that's a proper word in English), which isn't possible for Viera. So yeah, seeing them poking from the hood is the most reasonable and realistic scenario.

Viera ears can bend and flop. They could have easily been hidden by the hood or in the other case replace the cat ears. They should put a warning sign for Viera players on the item's page at least. Also waiting on Lodestone to update my character now that I've gone back to Elezen and Roegadyn for my characters. I might make future alts in a few years with these new races but not on the characters where I already had a bunch of hairstyles unlocked.

The hood has the hair attached. It’s dyeable, though.

The next images are not fan art, but since I’ve been getting into fire emblem recently and came across this character maybe some will like the design. Perhaps males will get a better flat/folded ear option than female Viera did in the future.

not a fan of the ears having no hair and being mostly flesh but shouldnt have to worry about that choice with Male viera hopefully
