Why can't we have Chocobos AND everything else though? Those who like Chocobos can ride them. Those who like Goobues now have the choice to ride them. Get over it, they've shown Drakes and Ahriman too. We know these are mounts because they were announced as such in a Live Letter from the Producer.

I just don't get why we can't have other mounts as long as it's not obnoxiously stupid. I mean it's not like it's got any kind of crazy bells and whistles on. It's just a Goobue as you'd see pretty much anywhere else, plus a carpet. It's not over the top and ridiculous, it's just the monsters as they are elsewhere. I see no issue with that.

You could make the same argument that we should have motorcycles as mounts or even Ifrit for that matter? The people who don't like them can just ride their chocobos.

Motorcycles were in VII & XIII so they aren't exactly foreign to the series, amiright?
