To be rather honest, I personally would like to be able to buy some items like emotes from figures or minions from books BECAUSE I CAN'T BUT ANY PHYSICAL MERCHENDIZE SINCE MY COUNTRY IS BLOCKED BY SE STORE AND HASN'T <kupo!> SHIPMENT and I'm NOT interested in paying 10x prices on ebay (where items often do not have codes already and well, ebay hasn't shipment to my country 90% of the time as well anyway)! But no is no, forever blocked from tasty goods. Phew, rage crying second, excuse me.If it's just greed, so why no Cait sith? Or legacy Chocobo? Or Bahamut minion. Or mogs minons from soundtracks. Or emote from Odin, Shiva, Ultima? Or every other exclusive items? I feel that those outfit were exclusive like those items... If they want to start releasing some, well, release everything then... And I bet that many players would be mad if they do..
I just feel it's not right from them to do it.

Literally nothing in this game is exclusive anymore so when they start selling more stuff for a "limited time" for $30 per account, don't expect it to last.
I'm not saying players are wrong to want items to be exclusive, or that players are wrong to want all players to have equal access to items. What I am saying is that I don't like that Square-Enix pulls bait and switch crap like this over items they're sure will be highly sought after. If you make in-game items based on previous Final Fantasies, you're gonna expect the masses to want them. It's natural.
But yeah, I can say without a doubt I won't be supporting anymore of this "limited time" junk because it never says limited anymore. Just look at the Manderville Earrings and White Ravens. Atleast they wised up and made the Mog Station versions "replicas," but the damage had already been done by the in-game event last year. Take everything the Mog Station team does with a heaping bowl of salt.
Oh this thread again. I guess it's nice that people at least had the decency of necroing the existing one instead of starting over.
On the other hand, it's still just as pointless - neither side is willing to yield, this is just a shouting contest. I'm incapable of sympathising with the pro-exclusivity crowd and they are most likely not interested in anything that goes against their selfish agenda. We can live happily ever after never finding common ground.
Personally I'm surprised the minions are account wide. I would have thought they'd be locked to one character. I'd like to see a lot more account wide releases.
So wheres the part of this AD that says these items will never be sold on Mog Station in the Future? This was your Last Chance to get those items as Bonus items from attending the streams.Well with the update to the Mogstation today, it unfortunately confirms that it was not in fact our "last chance" to get the minions. It was made out that if we wanted them we would have to pay £30 for each stream to get all of them.
Obviously we've had two years worth of use out of them, but I wonder how many people wouldn't have bought them if they had known they could get them 2 years later at a fraction of the price, despite what they were being told at the time...
Lesson of the day, if Square Enix says something is exclusive/last chance, it's probably not, so don't give them your money and wait for the cheap version.
Here's the email we were sent in August 2017:
And did you pay all that money just for the outfits and Minions? Did you actually care about the Fanfests?
I have no problem with them re-releasing these items that I paid for previously. I really hope that they re-release some of the items with item codes that are now expired. I own a couple that I seem to have forgot to register the code at the time and now I can't use them despite buying the item. Please re-release the Encyclopedia Namingway minion and soundtrack Orchestrion rolls!
Sorry, but where's the part of the AD that says "Last Chance to get those items as Bonus items from attending the streams". It just says last chance which is an absolute statement.
The minions, yes.
No, and SE is aware there are people who only want the items, hence adverts like this that don't even mention the details of the actual stream itself (and that you wouldn't be able to view it after the expiry date).
What part of "make sure to get all three streams if you want to complete your minion collection" sounds like you would also be able to buy them later? So wheres the part of this AD that says these items will never be sold on Mog Station in the Future? This was your Last Chance to get those items as Bonus items from attending the streams.
