I'll never understand players. They whine when they dont get something, then they whine when SE gives it to them. Like jeez. I feel sorry for SE, they can never win.

Not to protect the OP but we are not a hivemind like the Gnath. We are individual people and of course this will mean that some might be fine with this and others wont. SE just have to do decisions that are mostly hitting the bigger group of people and they are fine. That does not mean that the rest cant talk about their dislike too.
Exclusive items should stay exclusive. The term exclusive has a specific meaning and sets a finality on the noun it is modifying. When used as a marketing term for an item or service it is designed to instill a sense of fear, fear of missing out. The consumer is told, this thing will never be available to you again. If you want it, you have to buy it here and now.
If you missed out, too bad. If you really wanted that item but couldn't afford it, too bad. People purchased that item with the expectation that it will be their only chance. This is at best false advertisement or misrepresentation, and at the worst it is downright fraud. If you want to sell items bundled with something else, and then maybe sell them again at a later date, do not call them "exclusive". Be truthful to your customers and they will respect you. Lie to them and they will start losing respect for you and lose faith in what you are telling them.
I'll end this post saying, I didn't buy the stream, i will not be buying the clothes from the mog station either. They aren't something that I like. I wanted to present an argument that wasn't colored by any sort of emotional bias.

You purchased the stream, not the items. I purchased the stream and Odin statue. If they were to make the items that comes with them available through other means, I wouldn't care since I got it for free and other people will pay for it.
No, you purchased an entire package of items. The stream, the clothes, the minion, whatever else came with it. You personally can justify how you spent your money on that package. You may feel you bought the stream and got free items. Others may feel they bought the items and got a free stream. It doesn't change the fact that both of you purchased a package of goods or services and some contents of that package had the word "exclusively" attached to them.
You may not have an issue that those items exclusivity was broken, but other people do. Those are the customers complaining now and they have every right to do so.

It said "bonus" items when you bought the stream. So the price does not include them. It is completely different than paying for the stream then having to pay extra to get the items. No, you purchased an entire package of items. Arguing which is the free item and which is the full price item, when the two were impossible to buy separately, is 100% semantics.
That being said, this game has a history of putting limited-time items up on the mog station, and especially with this gear where the only accomplishment done to get it was "I spent more money back in the day", I don't really see the issue. Old items get devalued and sold at cheaper prices all the time, and this isn't any different.
The moogle attire was the Fanfest '14 bonus gear and it's been on the mog station for ages. It only makes sense that the other fanfest stream items from later fanfests would follow suit.

what's the harm? how does buying cosmetic items devalue the experience of watching the stream?

Back then, I didn't buy the stream, because it'll be a waste, my Internet can't handle it. So I am very glad that they added the outfits to the mogstationI can just pay directly for those instead.
I'm still waiting for the cumulus cloud to go on the mogstation, as Aus/NZ couldn't get it when the other regions got it. My region makes the promos awkward :/

I barely ever see people wearing these items, so I highly question the sentimental value they hold to the original purchasers.
