Monk, sadly. I love melee in other games but positionals aren't fun when I'm fighting not just the mobs but the tanks as well.

For me, its not so much the positional on Monk but the constant swapping back and forth unlike Ninja, Samurai and Dragoon where the positional is only 1 in a chain. I have my Skills set so shift-button is my rear while the normal button is flank. Yet its a mix of the fist of wind/earth/fire, chakras and the other stuff that I start messing with and more so just get nervous about trying to take it into a dungeon. 1-50 I loved it, after is when I started to get kinda mixed feelings and I just haven't leveled it since 60, I think I am.

SHB Ast
they've completely ruined everything unique about the card system.
all cards used to be unique with a purpose + they could change depending on how you mixed them with royal road.
now it's just "this does Yes" might as well get rid of the card system and replace it with a single buff at this point...
From what I have played of it, Bard needs to be remade from the ground up imo.
Everything BUT Red Mage and Scholar.
I ditched my Asura Deadeye, my Bard and Black Mage job stone on the instant after tasting the sweet of the Red Mage. I don't need anything else. It is all there, in this one profession. It is the reason why I am here. I had a Viera RDM on FFT:Advance but I was like "Heh, I Have Montblanc and my Nu'Mou healer, why would I skill her like that?" That was 15 years ago....
The Final Fantasy XIV approach to Red Mage is the first real one, and it hit right in the mark. While a Red Mage in itself is a profession that gets my heartbeat faster, in this game it's a blast. As if someone designed a profession around my heart and soul. And they took much effort not to be just a hackjob of BLM and WHM for the first time. It's like RDM grew up. They stepped up their arcane studies, dropped the chains of being "BLM and WHM Lite pseudo-versions": Each skill is fine-tuned and available in a Red Magic variant: Ver(skillname). And with the need of casting Black and White Magic - of course - we have a little, lore-compatible profession mechanic: Charging up our crystal that in return charges up our blades.
Our combat is that of a mage - but to reach our full potential, we need our swords, too. Currently, by potency, it is this:
Why choose between either when you can have both in one?
We Red Mages can:
* Choose if we want to go into melee and thus have a safe and mobile gameplay
* We can dish out massive pain with our swords in rapid succession - especially when we crit several times
* Dualcast! Instant casting of another spell! (-> Mobility!)
* Viable Combat Healer (1x Vercure ~ 20% of my health; Dualcast: 40%!) + Resurrection
* Gapcloser and Gap..creator...
* Swordfight and Magic are both well-done and nice to look at (especially frame by frame)
* We are pretty mobile for casters!
* Best artifact armor (Lvl 70 Duelist attire that is). Even TV Tropes figured it out by mentioning our hat![]()
So, why would I want anything else?
But still, I am glad all the Bards, Gunbreakers, and White Mages are around. You do matter, and I need you!
But still everytime I realize how much I love RDM when I see your gameplay..
Sincerely,

But isn't that an issue with bad tanks then? Sounds like you found alot of tanks who can't sit still for any amount of time. That'll make any monk hate life. Tho now we have true north and riddle of earth so t's not that big of a deal as it could be. But twisly turny tanks is a bit one.
BLU :<
But for actual jobs, WAR. I just cant stand big honking Axes. personal thing really XD
If you're failing at so many jobs, it might not be because everything else sucks, but rather user-error on your part.]The Final Fantasy XIV approach to Red Mage is the first real one, and it hit right in the mark.
