Dps classes and white mage.
Summoner
I have plenty of jobs I don't enjoy playing, but Summoner is too galaxy brain for me to even try it. Thank goodness it's tied to Scholar.

The schedule calls for BLU to be updated in 5.1. This was known before release.Blu and Rdm
Compared to ffta and ffxi versions of the jobs, 14 absolutely did not “swing the bat” for those two roles after having multiple other ff games to compare them with. Both were my #1 goto roles in every other ff game, even ffx2 blue mage variant, but 14, nope. Im still insulted by them both.
It feels like SE all but abandoned blue too. The test run of it was supposed to be caught up by ShB instead its not even been updated once lol

So much monk dislike in this thread
The jobs that don't click with me are BLM, SMN, and healers in general.
BLM tops the list because there is just way too much going on with this job. And the play style changes every 2-4 levels. So I can never wrap my head around how I'm supposed to optimally play it.
SMN is a close second. Also way too much going on. The whole pet management aspect was a huge turnoff for me. Haven't tried it yet in SHB though, hopefully it's better now.
I'm not good at healing because it's hard for me to balance keeping the group alive and doing decent DPS. I always end up doing too much of one and not enough of the other.

Re: Mnk - fair. With the .05 changes it's gotten quite tough to optimise, and I can see how some people wouldn't want the constant movement.
Re: Brd - hrm. I don't get how you could like it in SB but not now. I get one of the main criticisms is that bard should be more supportive, and I agree, but you lost a completely non-interactive crit buff, and requiem which was jarring as hell to stop and cast for, that's it. If it doesn't feel supportive now; it was hardly that actively supportive then.
For me personally, Monk changes have pushed it out of my upper-list. I still find it fun but processing the new thoughts I have to have after 6 years are really difficult. Might be a muscle memory thing but for now I feel like it's out of my reach.
And warrior. It's just...not for me
For me it's largely how punishing losing a single Dragon Kick/Leaden-Bootshine is now, though I guess it's just representative a larger issue I take with current Monk. Dragon Kick used to be something that one could situationally re-apply early if denied Bootshine positioning or let drop off just before the next DK or, in RoF, Demolish for only 15-22 direct potency lost (vs. an extra Bootshine and True Strike in window). Now it's effectively 425 potency due to Leaden Fist, with zero value in its early replacement. It just feels really off to have that kind of positional lenience that felt MNK-iconic replaced with just outright ignoring positionals as a mechanic for 30-50 seconds of every minute. There's no less lenience or creativity in positionals -- no position-less GCDs, no branching rotation options at minor costs that become potency gains in light of forced positionals -- replacing that aspect instead with alternation between mechanic and non-mechanic. Imho, that kind of change just sums up almost all the things wrong with our expansions' job adjustments over time.

Tanks in this game. I'm so not used to being forced into a single weapon choice, every MMO I played you had the choice between Sword and Board for max tankiness, or 2 hander, some games even let you dual wield, for Offtankage and DPS puposes. Especially warriors are supposed to be the masters of armed combat, how would they not know how to use swords, daggers and shields?
Same with healers, I love the combat cleric healer type that can wear heavy armor and wield maces and a shield to whoop some a**, thematically none of the robe wearing healers appeal to me at all.

Astrologian before they nerfed it. I just didn’t have the dedication to try to remember what each card done as well as heal.
Similarly with bard, wasn’t dedicating time to trying to learn what each song does and even then the text for each song is so long it’s like they tried to stick a small novel into the text box for them. There is so much going on in them I just get confused reading it. It’s like...
“Procs with this, combos with that, lasts for x seconds, can only be used when under x spell, can’t be used with y spell, grants x effect, skill description, *turns page* epilogue”
Neither are my main though obviously so it’s not so much an issue I encounter often

Red mages, they're boring and the novelty of verraise wears off really really quickly

Well there must be something to it if so many people think so, I doubt we all tried it and then all agreed on the same thing that doesn't even exist. Unless you're thinking flat earthers or something lol.
Personally its not just the positional (which are easy on say dragoon or ninja, w.e) but it's the everything about it combined just gets to be like.. one of these mechanics is the straw breaking my back and I'm not "clicking" with it. Dot, positional, chakra, forms + form shifting + form ignoring + form pausing, critical form buff pattern, gilded lightning + gilded lightning consumption.
And a lot of those concepts are going on all at once. Meanwhile on many other job's mechanics, I feel, are more sequestered to their own spaces. Usually I can feel like I'm playing decently well without much worry, but when I start playing Monk I feel like I actually have to care- if I wanted to feel like I was playing decently lol (all jobs can be played brain dead "ice mage" black mage, but I try not to be that person lol). Like Ninja Mudras don't bother me because it's just "oh, one second let me-- yep okay, back to the other dance for a bit".
Not that I'm saying there is no logic or can't click for others or whatever but all the noise in monk doesn't click for me, and I feel part of it is having to positional on top of other things. I am aware other jobs have positional, yes lol. I've played all the jobs and, to me, monk is my most 'unclicked' job.
Important note my monk is level 60 lol (all jobs level 60 or above), while I'm aware, vaguely, of some of the newer skills (like form pausing) I've not played that far with it (as it's my least favorite, but that is just an opinion/preference and I'm not raging for SE to do anything about it- as it's not my cup of tea to try and change).
