Because I actually know how coding works. This isn't some small indie game, this is Square Enix they have more than enough to create something like this. Because there isn't a set team that only deals with "glamour stuff", teams aren't broken down that small. They wouldn't pull battle designers and writers because there's usually a team just for non gear items and in some studios the team shares designing and making gear items and non gear items.

No it's not inventory bloat, it's 1 extra item that gets consumed when used just like glamour prisms.

Unfortunatly, I have to ask you to actually check the credits next time they roll. Last time I checked they had 3-4 people per "department" at best which surprised me and not in a good way.

I agree that role restrictions on glamour should be lifted.

Classes in the image below, from left to right:
    Red mage, Dark Knight, Astrologian.

Immersion is already out the window. Casters can already run around in heavy armor, and tanks can run around in a bikini.

I say let the people be creative.

Don't get it bad but what looks the most distracting are the ears

The first image is the Wild Rose Attire, a throwback from FF II. SE loves throwbacks in all their titles.
The third image is from a event that was a nod of the popular Sentai Ranger series in japan.
And the bikini is just something you could possibly wear for fitting the theme at beaches or something. For screenshots or events.

Those are items which allow you some measure of freedom, but I am pretty sure SE isn't intending to give players full control.

Seriously, they give you a hand to be a bit creative with your appearance, but you want the whole arm and the body now.
They should just revert them to be non-glamourable items to give this all a stop.

There's no legitimate reason for job restrictions on glamour to still be a thing; there wasn't even one when the system was first implemented. Immersion is a poor argument when so many non-locked glamours fly in the face of it entirely.

I'm even okay with unlocking artifact attire. I never get to wear it since I play multiple jobs in a single role, making it a forever non-option.

As long as you're high enough level to wear it on the job it normally requires, you should be able to wear it on anything else. It's really not that complicated.

Just an FYI its not necessarily a non-option. Even though you use the same gear on each tank for example, you can make a macro when job swapping that changes your glam plate too. Sure it only works in cities but you can swap from job artifact armor glam to another if you want.

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?

Same thing applied to weapons so basically you could wear whatever you wanted and guess what. EVERYONE STILL WORE THE SAME STUFF DYED WHITE OR BLACK. You need to understand something. Humans are mostly sheep.
You can see in the glamour department even though there is some choice the most popular are always the same basic sets.
Sorry your experience has been less than joyful. Also, maybe you should forgo playing games with humans <sheep> since we seem to annoy you so much. Maybe a single player activity would better suit your demeanor. I have also played many games where you could customize your outfits and rarely did I see a ton of clones. Of course your going to get some overlap with millions of people playing a game with limited options. Also I have seen some guilds dress and color alike but again it was all meant in fun you remember fun right? The byproduct of enjoying yourself.

You absolutely do not know how coding works.

Where do you store your so called "image" items?

Okay, I can play your game.

    Left: Healer.
    Brightlinen Cyclas of Healing
    Bonewicca Soother's gauntlets
    Aurum Regis Sollerets of Healing
Pants are hidden, therefore unnecessary. I just took something random and dyed it metallic silver for the thighs.

Here is a clearly armored healer.

    Middle: Caster
    Midan Coat of Casting
    Lost Allagan Gloves of Casting
    Lost Allagan Sabatons of Casting
again, pants don't matter, Can't even see them, I dyed something bright orange.

An armored caster. The chestpiece has some plate elements and a chainmail shirt underneath.

    Right: Tank
    Zonureskin Coat of Fending
    Ovim Wool Bottoms of Fending
    Dai-Ryumyaku Kote of Fending
    Sky Pirate's Boots of Fending

I don't know about you, but I see several key areas exposed on this glamour, and the covered parts don't look particularly protective either.

All of these glamours were constructed with role-restricted glamour options. Every piece is level 50 or higher.

"Whole arm and body"? You want to remove the things I used as glamourable options? What about the above items? Are you saying we should delete all that as well?
