It's perfectly fine to roll 'need' whenever you can. It's playing the game exactly how it was designed, and is not rude at all.

It's *allowed* so you can get priority over other players on pieces you can equip, so you have first shot at upgrades over another role.

Using it for desynth/vendor/seals is rude, and players who do so are indubitably baddies.
