Is it me or has the community gotten worse...

I haven't noticed any particular spike in toxicity lately even with the larger numbers due to the expansion. I however do notice an influx of players trying to speedrun or cheese dungeons and fights without the skill or gear to back it up. Most of the bad attitudes I've seen in recent months has been from players in older content so make of that what you will. And as for generalizing raiders and mentors, stop that.

That's been my experience as well. If I had a dime for every time I got into LoTA and had people realize that, no, they still can't cheese it I'd be rich.

Overall the level of toxicity hasn't increased or decreased in my experience - and overall the community is generally fairly kind compared to other MMO's I've played.

The main thing I've noticed is mechanics going out the window for roulette, particularly Alliance Raid where people just want to blast through it. However, in general, I don't find the community any more toxic than it was. Honestly, I think the influx of new players has brought some really wonderful people to the game.

Also, not to be biased...I find Hrothgar community to just be the sweetest player base ever

Except it's not. People use their anecdotes they get with toxic randoms that get carried through all the "raiding" content they do, so people like to generalize all raiders into the toxic/elitism category. You don't have to be doing end-game content to be elitist and toxic. Stop lumping everyone into the raiding community together and painting them all with the toxicity and Elitism brush. It happens in all areas of the game.

It happens in all areas of the game where there's a mentor or a raider involved lol.
