As someone who just wanted to see the god damn view (I cheated). I don’t think silencing everyone would be unnecessary. After all, it’s just a challenge with no reward. Why does it matter if other people cheat at it?

It kinda spoils the challenge for the people who doesn't cheat. Not only because of the self destruct spell spamming, but also because getting to the top won't feel as rewarding if people can get up there without doing the challenge.

Hmm.. Fair point. I already got what I needed from it anyway. Though, rather than silence it should be "Out of the Action". That way people can’t use anything besides Sprint.

Though, I'd think the view 'is' the reward. I remember when people on my server first figured out the Kugane tower was climbable, someone went to the top and started a Three million gil race. It took 45m at night, with about 30 people doing it. I won and got that sweet, sweet gold. But the view was the real prize, by the time I got to the top it was daytime. My hands were sweaty and shaking terribly, (I think it was nerves at this point) but it was worth it.

It's really not that hard in my opinion, especially compared to some of the Leap of Faith combos or even the Kugane Tower puzzle. But some people are more skilled than others when it comes to jumping puzzles, so of course some are either going to "cheat" or take a bit longer than most to reach the end. It's fine as is though. Let people have their fun with this whichever way they see fit. I bypassed having to do it beyond the one time to complete the quest by buying fish off the MB, so I can't really judge. lol

Isn't the point to challenge yourself? Or at least that's how it seems to me. That being the case it should still be rewarding for you regardless of how others do it. You even get better bragging rights "I did so n so with out any cheats"

If you mean others may not feel the same sense of reward as you did well..respectfully that is not for you to deiced.

I felt the no mount thing was more to stop people being from being obnoxious and sitting on the steps with a giant mount and less about cheating.

I just wish they would stop putting development resources towards these awful jump puzzles and put them towards making a movement system that doesn't feel janky as hell.
