So Last year I used my wedding chocobo to get her to the top. I felt bad for being in the way but it was only once I never lingered. I don't have any issues with the self destruct > Rez combo either. Some folks are really bad at the jumping! If I could get rezed to the top of Kugane tower I would in a skinny minute!
You could also marry someone that is able to climb the tower and use the wedding ring to port to them.
