Give me some names blurred out screenshots of people with the reduced gear showing it’s item level or I am calling this hand waving an excuse onto just random anecdotes.

Now if you have the proof then yeah, I agree you’re seeing a problem. WoW had this during one expac and they patched in a method to examine you based on the top gear in all your bags...

But let’s prove that accusation first.

While it's not a huge problem but when you start say a LoTA/ST run you'll see people's HP magically regenerating but you just joined the raid meaning they cheesed their ilvl to get in, I think OP is just saying that the people who do this (that want the path of least resistance while leveling) just wanna get in and get out but it means that variety goes out the window. Is there new people going into ST and LoTA? Yes not denying that but there are people who just want LoTA and especially ST because you can do it in 12 mins.

The game takes a snapshot of your ilvl when you register for duty, so there's no need to stay in that gear until you enter the zone.

That's not what I'm saying at all, you can be lvl 70, remove gear to get under ilvl 50-70 and get LoTA/ST unlike MSQ dungeons which have no ilvl restrictions, Alliance raid roulette does so as long as you're between ilvl 50-70 you'll either get: LOTA or ST its a coin flip then swap to your full gear when you get inside. When there's ilvl checks for Alliance roulette and not MSQ dungeons you know somethings not right.

People run this for the tomes/xp. Most people don't want to spend 30+ mins in there.

I didn't know that ST, LOTA, Weeping City, Dun Scaith and the rest of the Ivalice Alliance raids were considered end game when the goal is to get EXP but okay, but yet it's okay for people to join Bardam's Mettle with an ilvl 120 book and an ilvl 39 ring and waste time and then add more time getting rid of them and getting a new healer? People run MSQ roulette and it can take 30+ mins and people can cheese it if they wanted to and people don't like that either, I don't care about it taking 20 mins I just want variety in Alliance Roulette, yes it's for EXP but being half awake in ST while hitting 3 buttons isn't riveting.

People just want faceroll content they don't wanna think and then when they finally get a 60+ raid they actually have to pay attention and not watch youtube, god forbid you have to pay attention in a 24 man raid.

You don't need to wait to get in to put your gear back on. You can put in it on after you register for the duty.

It's still part of the problem, people cheesing their ilvl regardless to get either LoTA/ST for quick and easy ques so that you don't ever have to touch the 60-70 raids.

The one time in the past few days I forgot to lower my ilvl, I got Orbonne. It sucked and went on for 45 minutes before people abandoned it at Thunder God because one party simply couldn't stay alive and kept dumping their mechs on everyone else.

I'm okay with having an out, personally.

Then those people are kinda dumb because you can put your gear back on anytime between when you queue and when the roulette pops. You don't have to wait til you're in the duty.

How am I suppose to have a screenshot like that on hand? It isn't the first thing you think of doing when you see it or at least to me. If I go back in there and see it then I'll do it if I need to prove it but all I can say right now is if you just load in and see people with less hp then their max its probably because they put all their gear back on the moment they got in as they don't need to cheat gear at that point. All they need to do is have an item level of 70 to get Sycrus and LOTA and you only need a couple pieces of gear to reach that now and you can just remove the rest and once you get in just put it back on and your hp will go from 2k to at least 5k and you can see their hp building back up.

Accusations need to be followed with hard proof or they’re just baseless accusations to explain away someone’s bad luck by instead casting blame.

Asking for proof is just... basic...

I mean... if this issue was actually real, people would have torn me down by now with pages and pages of screenshots since it’s been days since I asked for proof.

When I made my original reply I expected to be slammed with screenshots and then have to argue that I wasn’t arguing against you, just asking for proof... But, still no proof...
