So i learned something today, if your gear is low durability as you queue up in duty finder you get this message:



Pugs you will now receive no sympathy from me if your gear breaks period.

Reminds me of the Titania Normal match I had last night. RDM came in with broken gear, 10k HP. It was insane.

Had a tank in Stone Vigil. He'd pull big. But then just run around like a chicken with his head cut off. He run around in circles, bobbing and weaving. Not just dodging AoEs. He was constantly running around. He held aggro and used Cooldowns, so he knew what he was doing. It was just weird.

I mean there are times when there aren't any repair npcs nearby so you're just forced to deal with it, plus you can't teleport if DF pops so you can go run to one.

You know when you think up an idea that sounds good in your head but in reality, it's terrible. Yours truly did this in msq castrum yesterday as a blm.

So three years into this game, I'm doing the duty for the umpteenth time when we get to the last area with the giant mechs and foot soldiers, right before that yandere chick in the white ranger suit. I noticed we had a full lb2 bar and a deceptive bright light clicks in my head: "wait a minute..." I think, "I could one shot those guys". Great idea, right?

Wrong.

The foot soldiers got one shotted alright. The giant mechs? Brushed off my lb2 and proceeded to (collectively) one shot me...and someone else...and another.

Most of the group survives. Probably because everyone else was busy trying to do things in an orderly fashion as to not lengthen the run anymore than they should, unlike a CERTAIN SOMEONE. I reveal myself as the mastermind behind the boneheaded move, letting them also know that I wanted to see if I could one shot the mobs.

"If you had asked us before you tried, we would've told you that obviously, the answer is no." one of them responds.

I sort of shrink in my seat and utter a nervous "sorry..." to no one in particular.

Leveling roulette last night on my SCH, trying to get some quick materia and exp. Haha, right.

So we zone in to Great Gubal Library, and there's two sprouts and a returner. I think okay, new guys probably, no problem I'll just explain fights since this place is kinda technical.

The BRD stood in everything, died multiple times and kept typing in say chat to "go on without me" and other such things. The DRG popped battle litany even when we weren't fighting anything. I don't think the GNB used a single CD the entire time save for when he popped Superbolide one time when he was at full HP and I was like???

Fast forward to the last boss, after multiple wipes and somehow getting through the first two bosses. There's 15 minutes left on the timer..Yes, I've been in here almost 2 hours at this point trying to coach this awful group to victory somehow.

They just couldn't get it. You know how the red circles appear on the ground and you have to take two people at a time to step in them otherwise adds appear that absolutely wreck you? Yeah, here's me standing on my own while all 3 of them sprint off together trying to hit the circles even after I told them several times that 3 at a time doesn't work, we need to split 2 and 2.

At this point where I took the screenshot I was losing my patience and wanted to share with my Discord friend how bad of a group I had just endured, fruitlessly. As the 3 left after this wipe. I did not get my exp or my materia, only 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

I did the same with for Gyshal Greens and Grade 7 Dark Mater so I wouldn't have to spend very often(still have over 700 of each and I haven't bought any for at least 5 months for DM and much, much, longer for Greens)
