...As a healer I am so tired of this ability eating my cooldowns. Just popped benediction to heal the tank to full at the cost of a 3 minute cooldown. Nope, Superbolide. Burned my last Essential Dignity charge doing the same thing? Nope, Superbolide. I hate healing GNB tanks just because of this one ability.
And it's absolutely set up to do this exact thing. Tanks don't want to use it preemptively like you might use a HG in a dungeon, because nuking a full HP bar doesn't really save much in the way of healer GCDs despite the invuln. So it's saved for use as an "oh s***" button, which is exactly how long healer cooldowns are used. The ability is literally tailor-made to mess with healers, and that's just not good design.
Please just change it somehow. Make it bring the tank down to 1hp + all healing received in the past 2 seconds or something. Make it something different, but it just so frustrating the way it is now.
...
Just put a darn regen on them and maybe an OGCD heal. You don't need to bene them like DRK. They have their own regen that they will use on it. Finally... you don' t take damage while its active. Their HP won't drop from an auto attack.

Sorry if the initial post was unclear, but you've misunderstood. The Benediction happens, THEN the Superbolide happens. I'm not worried about how hard it is to heal someone from 1 to full. I'm bothered by the fact that if the tank hits their big action button after mine (something that is completely reasonable to do in dungeon finder content), mine is completely negated, and then some.
I also have to say that I love the idea of all immunity skills being removed. Some fights may need tweaking, but I think getting rid of this kind of gameplay would remove the need for unintuitive downsides like what we've gotten here. And I don't think anything would be lost in no longer needing to worry about whether having this or that type of tank means for which boss mechanics can be cheated.
