Healer is in need because they didn't add a Healer since 3.0

Common sense. "Duh" yes. But when I see threads claiming it's for balance or changes reasons it's laughable.

If Dancer was a Healer this wouldn't be a thing. No, not complaining actually. I enjoy these queue times. Just tired of the propaganda regarding the queues.

It's basic logic that if you add every other role outside of Healer this situation will happen, especially a fan favorite style of gameplay like a Gunblade referencing Squall from FF8.

I'd say it's a contributing factor, but compare and contrast the healer forums against the DPS and tank forums, the healer forum is much busier with complaints. There was also a job satisfaction survey that went around and the results weren't favourable to the healers. Whilst not every person who heals is unhappy as I've come across saying "I like the changes" or "I'm enjoying it" but thus far I've found them to be a minority? I have absolutely no issue if those people are enjoying. I don't expect them to have the same opinions/feelings as me.

But there is an overwhelming amount of healer salt with people who don't usually post on the forums appearing to voice their complaints and concerns about healers. Some saying they've changed their mains, myself included. And there's incentive to not queue most roulettes as a healer from the standpoint it's boring for many. I was doing roulettes yesterday, I was SCH originally for the queue boost and a friend said they wanted to join as a tank, I immediately swapped to SMN.

I think there is a mix of reasons why healer is getting so much in need, but I don't think we can just pin it down to the one and say "there, that's it", because there are a few reasons why people aren't queueing as healer or maybe queuing as something else.

So we have 2 working healers and 2 broken ones?

Dunno why we're arguing about this. LuckyBancho posted their up to date census and healers are in really low numbers. Going by "in need", although somewhat telling, is skewed because a lot of people who don't really play healer just queue up for the materia and the fast queue times. When you look at who has a 440+ weapon you realize it's an empty room.

The focus around healer buffs this patch are also telling of SE's internal data.

I'm not sure where you've been but this section has been a nightmare since 3.0 and everyone is as vocal as they've ever been. Hell if you wanna be real for a second there was doom since even 2.0 where people were saying "White Mage is useless the balance is terrible." etc.

Some loud folks on a forum aren't going to affect queues times. What's affecting queue times is them not adding a healer since 2015.

Hey, do you have a link to this? I didn't see the job breakdown on their most recent post, just world and race data...

Not that I doubt it, the population was a bit low in SB too, I'd just like to have the numbers.

There is a sentiment that people are claiming a massive drop in Healers is due to changes of 5.0.

I'm debunking it with a very obvious statement cause it seems what's obvious isn't so obvious for some.

Where have I been? I'm one of the people who doesn't normally come to the forum as I have mentioned. But in fairness there has been problems since 3.0. However, I think the problems has got worse and not better, hence I've ended up becoming more vocal, as I am now bored with my job and can no longer be like "we'll at least I still enjoy this aspect".
