So do I get this right, NIN is unhappy that while they got a 50 potency buff on their spammable main combo, its not enough?

I think the main problem here is that SE is too afraid of whiny players to actually NERF something. BLM and DRG needed nerfs.

The problem with Trick Attack is also that whenever you buff other classes that could potentially be in the group with ninjas, you buff TA.

The problem with Trick Attack is also that whenever you buff other classes that could potentially be in the group with ninjas, you buff TA.

The problem is that since 5.0, even accounting for TA, it didn't even come close to accounting for Ninja's low pDPS.
Taking rDPS into account, it's in joint last place with Dancer, a job with a load of additional utility.

That said, Gust Slash is used pretty much every third GCD excluding Shadowfang application, so that 50 potency will be more effective than people realise, but not a huge amount.
It might put Ninja's back on par with Red Mage at least, but without a Rez...
