    I honestly can't play SCH anymore, healing become too braindead with the only challenge being able to maintain dps uptime and be able to understand your healing toolkit.

    If anything I really miss bane because scholar used to be able to help with large pulls using Miasma II and bane with bio and Miasma, but now it's just kinda, art of war spam, which is completely boring and unengaging.

    Yeah, I have had similar times as well. The DPS Players are likely all over it queuing all at once to make the wait time still about half of what it usually is. However, the important thing is I still got my bribe bags of Stellaclusters. It seems the adventurer in need still remains with the same role for a minute or 2.

    All the tanks are currently viable to play, even if people are hating on dark knight right now. With healing AST is just not viable right now. So it's like there's 4 tanks to choose from vs 2.5 healers. Also scholar's are still great at healing but some left due to how boring the DPS rotation has become, and some have left AST because of how boring the cards have become. So I expect there to be a continued shortage of healers compared to the last expansion (even if tanks do take back their 'need status') at least until they fix Astrologian, because that class has just been broken so badly.

    I had an epiphany recently as to why the dps change for healing feels so awful in shadowbringers. I think, with all due respect, that the devs misunderstood a core mechanic of our role. Unlike the other roles, we have downtime. There are moments when we don't need to be doing our primary role, healing, and so dps. Going into shadowbringers the devs wanted us to dps less and heal more. They could have either given us something else to do during downtime, such as buff and boon our allies, or decreased the downtime window. But what they did was simplify our dps kit.

    Now this is the key misunderstanding, what we do in our downtime doesn't actually effect how often we enter downtime. Our healing does. We see this all the time when a new patch drops. The content is difficult but as we grow stronger and healing gets more potent we get more downtime. You could completely simplify all the dps kits to an absurd degree and have each job only use a single dps spell and we wouldn't be spending less time doing damage.

    I think the damage changes need to be reversed completely. Unless I've misunderstood something this seems like a fundamentally broken change.

    If you reverse the changes completely, potency-nerfs and all, you would also have to majorly change WHM again or we will be in the same situation as before (will happen anyway over time, but whatever...), having the lowest actual pDPS (read: not on a frigging puppet, but in actual battles) and still no utility. So how would you go about that?

    Something that really irks me is all this call for 'improvements' without suggestions for how to re-balance that to not just create a different mess than before altogether.

    Last night? I've been seeing (and joining) healers in need for all roulettes since early access, with only occasionally DPS windows for raid roulette - no kidding, only like 2 days ago did I start seeing tank in need again. It was good while it lasted lol

    How about putting all the moves back, but altering the potencies such that the damage capabilities stay the same as they are now? AST aside, I think a lot of SCHa would be happy with this. I'm actually disappointed that they buffed Art of War. More damage is not what we need.
