It does. Because the chances of it happening increases when it fails to happen. Pick a straw out of a bag. Does your chance of picking out another straw of the same color increase or decrease? Just because it is a program, doesn't mean it has no limits.i know it's math, but this is internet and it's meme man.
Also, i *derp* to you: Bernoulli it's on your side, still that count on a infinite amount of try. Do you plan do live indefinitely, and doing ifrit infinitely ?
anyhow this count nothing. I'm for 100% totem drop, or at least 50%
also, bolded phrase it's wrong :||

But...but... he paid his money, so he deserves to be heard in as many topics as he wants.
Ok, now i'm pretty sure you don't know what you saying. The law of big numbers say this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_large_numbers
BUT it also say to not confound this with the augment of probability. Because it don't happens.
Each drop is an event independent of the others. The Law of Large Numbers does apply here, but to the other poster who mentioned picking straws out of a bag, that analogy is incorrect, since that blank straw is "put back into the bag" with each attempt.
The idea that ones chances improve after multiple failures is a fallacy that casinos, for instance, rely on heavily for driving some of their games (e.g., roulette). You could hit red five times in a row, but you still have a 50/50 chance of hitting red instead of black on your 6th attempt, since the "red squares" are not removed from the equation just because they've been hit before.
I hope that makes sense.
In the short term, it shows a slight decrease to increase. L2Graph According to the law, the average of the results obtained from a large number of trials should be close to the expected value, and will tend to become closer as more trials are performed.Ok, now i'm pretty sure you don't know what you saying. You need 20 nuts to get a weapon. You have only done 12 runs. Other words even if it was 100% you would still need 8 more runs to get your 1st weapon. I don't know about you guys but drop rate were far worse on XI.
Eastern Shadow- 1/57
Mee deggi - 0/100+
Jailer of justice- 5/100+
I can go on but hopefully you get the point. The problem is most people only count their loot and not others. when 1 person gets a totem/weapon that's a successful run. You can not tell me that every single time you did a endgame event for other games every person in the party got all the drops they wanted quickly. 12 runs and complaining about drop rates? Also You have to count repeats as drops. Just because you didn't get the drop you want doesn't mean you didn't get a drop.
Drop rate is fine, but no loot pool is retarded and they should be ashamed of themselves.
So the game sucks because the drop rate of Ifrit and Good King Moogle Mog XII is bad.
I don't want to say that you don't have a point. Hell, I have teammates who still need what they want, but they never get it, but saying that a game is bad because of drop rate...
Wonder if the devs gather around at the end of the day and read threads like this for lulz. Kinda like how I take an order from retarded people at work then go back and make fun of them my fellow co workers.
"Um, I want the cheesecake with the chocolate on top"
"Sir we have over 40 different cheesecakes. Half of them are chocolate. Do you know the name of the cheesecake you want?"
"Um, no. I just know it's the one with the chocolate on top. The lighter chocolate."
"Again, sir, we have at least 20 cheesecakes that have chocolate on top. I need you to point it out to me in the case up front or give me a name"
(goes up front, asks the people at the bakery 20 questions about chocolate cheesecake)
"Um, ok. I'll just get the plain original cheesecake".
really?
How people get through life with a thinking style like this is beyond me. But I guess it's good to find humor in the work place. Even if it's at the expensive of less intelligent people.
