When did calling PS4 players “console peasants” become acceptable?

It's always been acceptable because it's never been a legitimate insult. It's always been a joke. The only people who take it serious are the people who lack justification for playing on consoles and/or are incapable of understanding what friendly banter is.

No one believes there's anything wrong with being a console gamer provided that said gamer understands consoles are essentially limited PCs that cannot be upgraded. Being a console fanboi is as bad as being a PC fanboi.

I really don't think its friendly or joking banter I mean the one dude was making fun of me saying I was on the autistic spectrum(which btw I actually am), I'm sure to most people it is a joke, a tired, old joke, but there's a small subset that actually say it seriously.
