I've also had these same problems and error code 105 appear when trying to reactivate my characters after having already set up payment methods nearly a month ago. I got the error when trying to sign up with a payment over $50, but it worked fine when signing up with a payment less than $50, so it definitely seems like the ClickandBuy spending cap mentioned earlier was my problem. Hopefully that can solve some of the issues people are seeing.
Remember you can set spending limitations for click n buy... that's what happened to me for those that don't have dual account issues.
I couldn't find cap info at C&B site...what is this cap...50/month? Also, where can i increase this cap?
Settings tab far right at the top oragne bar after you login. Then 7th down on the left grey bar for spending limit and access control. Then you can set your spending limit there.
Mine's marking 0.00 there...thought it was optional...like in case i wanted a limit, just like they restrict payments from adult sites too...more like a parental control. It worked for you when you added a cap there?
I set it for what FFXIV will charge me + a little more to account for exchange rate difference. Just try it, wouldn't hurt right? Put $100 if you worry...

Error 105 is not C&B issue only as SE claims.
I've picked up the new payment option - debit/credit card and still received that error.
When tried contacting support centre they just told me its C&B issue even tho I did mention Im not using this service. I never did. When I registred the game i've picked crysta. Didnt touch C&B EVER. (nice help there SE). This error doesn't make any sense and I dont see any explanation for its existance.
I also tried unregistering my card and reregistering - I couldn't - error 601. A few mins earlier I could register that card so what's going on? Also tried registering other cards but always same error, oh well.
Either way, I was forced to use crysta and ultimate pay- no problem with that. Glad I could or else I'd be screwed. Cheers~
Getting the same error as Pancakes (error 601). Can't re register and am also using the new payment option of debit/credit card.
