So much crashing!

first after beating juggernaut my computer overheated(its never done that i use very low settings, but cant fully blame ffxiv YET) then logged on, got directx error(not using full screen), logged on again, same dx error! logged on again seemed to be working okay for 5mins. then got a ffxiv stopped working error. what the heck is going on. I have all the settings on lowest in game/config program. and have card settings to application controlled. I have even now set the resolution so low it is unfun to play, and that appears to be the only thing keeping it afloat.. HELP!

Try updating your drivers bro, might help a bit. Also open up task manager and see how many bg programs you have running.

also- dx is correct version and most up to date. and my nvidia drivers are up to date

i closed everything, and i used to have tons of things running, plus resolution very high, and textures high and everything high now I cannot this patch obviously needs an emergency fix

I doubt it's the patch. Check your video card drivers, sometimes they get corrupted and such. The latest ensure that they will play friendly with the game.

ofcourse it is the patch I have seen many others say the same. I have not had a single hiccup with this game after beta, and early launch - suddenly I am overheating, getting dx errors, and ffxiv exit errors

DX error = Graphic driver crash , nothing to do with direct X
Latest drivers aren't always the best choice either , i refuse to update my driver because it runs well as it is now.. pretty sure i get into more problems when i update to newest driver.
Problem of DX crash lays with the FFxiv program/client however

Why cant people just admit its the patch? It is the only thing that has changed... The patch is running my computer too hot. as for all of the dx/ffxiv errors I don't know what to do to stop them so atleast with this big ass fan aimed in there it wont over heat

also there was a newer nvidia driver that came out the 13th, I was running one a month earlier. I looked through what the update is and doesn't seem like it would help anything BUT i updated anyway

If youve been using a program to see cpu/gpu temps you can see for yourself it is running a lot hotter than the previous patch
