Okay, we're itemizing now... fortunately there is a limit post, so we both should run out pretty soon!

    1) If every class is just hit button every x seconds, what separates them, and how would Y class feel different from Z? See WoW... you pick the class that has performance over style, because they've all been reduced to the same. Iaijutsu and Tsubame are just two expressions of unique job expression.

    2) Okay, congrats, you corrected spelling. 1) You knew what I meant. 2) Does nothing to detract from any statement other than I am bad at spelling

    3) You're item of contention is cast bars. If 2 cast timers ruin Samurai, how does BLM, WHM, SCH, AST, and to a large extent RDM and SMN deal with those cast times for a much LARGER percentage of their damage/healing contribution?

    4) This is a hyperbole statement. All players deal with AoE's, casters could say the same about the donut mechanic. These are hardly so disruptive that at-tier raid groups forego melee.

    5) Nope, instead you have a rotation where 80%+ of your abilities that provide the largest portions of your overall damage are instant cast. Literally 1 to 3 1.3 second casts across the entirety of what Samurai does: Midare, Tsubame, Higanbana.

    6) Usually these moves are telegraphed, and most of them are scripted. A little situational awareness will tell you that normally, you're safe to cast and then respond. You will generally have that much time.

    7) Samurai beats them all, currently, at end game. So why are we fixing it right now for the next patch? You may have a case of Black Mage being too high vs Samurai in certain situations, but being that most of their damage is cast-based... it doesn't go far at all to proving your point of Iaijutsu/Tsubame having a cast time adversely impacts Samurai to a point that it needs to be adjusted.

4.How many Donut in the entire game compared to a point blank aoe?

    5.20% is very important.

6.It doesn't change the fact that SAM can't cast but Caster have no problem during that time which show the significant different between them.

7.Beat them all? Are you sure that SAM is now the top candidate of melee dps for the raid and the trial? SAM's performance is now the top?

8? Why we should appreciate the unneccessary dps loss from the long cast [Hello Titania EX's Frost Rune& Up lift - Add Phase 2.0 and so on] When DRN having a problem with jump they ask for improvement and they get it. When MCH have a problem with the old skills and asking for improvement they got it and they're happy now. I saw no reason for other people to hinder the improvement of the class that they don't main and love.

I don't get why people have an idea like this, that shoudn't happen when all SAM,NIN,DNC,AST and let not forget SCH could all get improvement.

    Not really.
    Mnk's currently are beating sam's in E1,E2 and E4.

and honestly, its because Downtime really hurts sam now. With everything being so strict.

We are actually in need of a buff across the board.

SE is so scared of bringing samurai too close to blm they always underbuff samurai.
When SNM use to outdps BLM, SE buffed the hell out of BLM.

But when MNK was outdpsing samurai SE took their Sweet time.
Buffing samurai so little it only came out to like a 2% buff, it brought samurai above MNK but hardly.

I don't agree with a lot of OP's changes to sam but I do think Shoha needs to change and I think Tsubame being insta cast is a good idea imo.

I think its kinda weird and clunky with have to do it two cast in a row and any GCD cancels it too, so if you have to dodge an aoe you can't do anything or you risk canceling tsubame.

Honestly. Samurai is still fun but I think ShB samurai is very strict and not as fun as SB samurai was.
SB samurai was very free flowing.
