Double idea for handling the glamour system and a new type of logbook

Basically wouldn't be better to have a logbook where it records every piece of gear you have obtained throughout the game, and also be used to glamour your gear? That way you don't have to carry around inventory forever, and especially in your retainer's inventory. Want to glamour your lvl 80 spear to a unique dungeon spear you obtained earlier but don't have it anymore? Just look into your logbook and done! it's glamoured.

Also it would be cool to have a logbook of gear sets just to see what you may have missed and have obtained before.

Though I wonder this might cause too much of a strain on the server if everyone was glamouring like crazy from it..

SE have stated in the past that such a system simply is not possible with how the game is coded, specifically how the appearence of each piece of equipment is flagged by the client, each item ID and appearence ID in a player's inventory and character screen is checked constantly with the server and would be too problematic to have a glamour logbook to replace it. The closest to a glamour log you're going to get is the glamour dresser, which is limited for this reason, it's a way of minimising the risk of errors creeping into it and causing problems (items not showing correctly and stuff).

SE are aware players want something like your idea though, they just are unable to do so sadly.

I think a meet half way option would be to have a glamour log in an inn that lets you try on Any outfit in the game and "glamour" temporarily while in the room, so you can more clearly inspect it. It wouldn't store your personal set of items but would give you free reign at finding glamours.

That is too bad, but maybe just the logbook itself would be nice though as a reference guide if that is possible. I would be kind of curious if I missed a weapon or armor piece somewhere.

heck another idea would be to rework the minion menu, and show "???" blocks for any minion you missed somewhere and you can hide the ??? blocks whenever you need to do so.
