    Hissatsu: Yaten

    - Learned at LV.6 instead of Third Eye
    [Hissastsu : Yaten is more useful than the Third Eye without Merciful Eyes]
    - Remove Kenki Cost
    - Recast time increased to 30 seconds

    Oddly enough I don't see the problem with shoha, there ample time in the EX trials during phase transition and it builds kenki.

    Having Hagakure + Ikishoten + less things to spend Kenki would be overkill honestly.

    Honestly, I'm fine with Iaijutsu having a cast time. I never minded it in SB. I'd like Tsubame-gaeshi to be instant though.

    We need damage buffs mainly at this point though. The Enhanced Jinpu and Shifu talent should have been AT LEAST 15% since the current 13% barely makes up for the loss of the Slashing Debuff. And we get it at level 78. Which is a whole 28 levels we are without the Slashing Debuff or the improved buffs.

    Shoha is weak. And is our "capstone" ability this Expansion. Its depressing.

    You... Kind of are though... That was the entire gimmick of the Stormblood Jobs; Red Mage is a caster that has a melee combo. Samurai is a melee that has a caster combo... That's how the Job has been since its release in this game, this isn't like Bard suddenly becoming Bow-Mage in Heavensward, the Sen skills have always been casts... If you don't like that you should probably play a different Job, you might as well say "Dragoons shouldn't have Jump" or "Monk shouldn't punch", Samurais gimmick is that it builds up to a caster skill, why is this suddenly an issue when that's how the Job has been since launch?

    these changes are a bit...intense. Jobs arent balanced for 50/60/70 content anymore, we just have to deal with that. Melee caster? the cast time is 1.3 seconds and its your strongest abilities. Maybe adjust Shoha but Samurai is mostly fine right now.

    2 things:

You know this, not sure why you think "knowing the fight" somehow addresses the issues a melee range caster faces in AoE and movement heavy fights.

    A simpler fix, or at least in my mind a more fitting one, would be to simply have Iaijutsu apply a status effect that Tsubame-gaeshi plays off, allowing you to effectively stagger the use of Tsubame-gaeshi to weave it more efficiently. To copy from Red Mages playbook, something like Kaeshi : Setsugekga Ready after doing a Midare, which lasts X seconds, allowing you to weave GCDs between Midarea and Kaeshi : Setsugekga as needed.

    Going the whole "Samurai isn't a melee caster!" route, when that's literally been its gimmick since day one is... Odd, to say the least...
