Guild Wars 2 has had it for years. SE is supposed to be taking the best practices from other MMO's and learning from them.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
ill say since the Raid items are limited
while beast tribes are not
you can buy materials and Dyes
raid books you have all the sets and that's it
no mats,no dyes a limited selection for raids that are basically on a time limit of relevance
if they just went into the key item slot sure
but to rework them into a currency is waste imo when effort like that should be worked onto the dyes somthing that is in much much dire need of a currency esk slot or somthing akin to the crystals instead of these raid items
But the materials over here compared to Guild Wars 2 is so much more. And Guild Wars 2 materials are much more simplified. They had like 6 tiers of materials only compared to ffxiv across all expansions. And once you get your Ascended gear crafted there's really not much else to craft since there isn't any higher than Ascended or Legendary gear.
I don't mind the new raid currencies, but I think that once a raid tier is no longer current they should consider turning them into some sort of generic raid token, instead of arms, legs, head, etc, just have it be a coin or something. That way the people that are hoarding those old tokens for lord knows what reason, don't have to worry about it.
I don't think I want another tab in currencies, seems like it would become really cluttered really fast.
What im saying is for normal raids you lot for and item not for a currency. You want it to be a currency item itll drop to your currency tab so now you have to pay more of a garanteed item got it?
With the new drop system it is quite easy to drop exactly the number of a given token you want, to buy your stuff right away after the raids are done. I have only one token more in my inventory, the weekly one, and it will be gone as soon as i can buy the upcoming weapon. I have already next week planned, and when i will be done with my main job i will switch to equip another one the same way. We are not with the old system anymore, if you think beforehand and aren't rolling mindlessly on all the drops your inventory will not become bloated as the topic title say.
The desperation to make sure raid tokens is not implemented as currency in the currency tab is astounding. I've never seen such lofty responses to a QoL that has virtually no downsides. It's almost like these people want to go back to the beast tribe token days have those currencies fill up their inventory.
Yeeesh.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
See, I do agree with you, but I said primal tokens. Heres how I see the system:ill say since the Raid items are limited

- Primal tokens should go in the currency tab
- The currency tab should get an "inventory" for exchange items such as raid tokens and 24man tokens or the key items tab in the inventory should be updated with a new interface that houses these items and separates them from quest items (or we just get a new exchangable items tab).
