Yenow, there is a lot of talk about how "we want" the genderlock removed, but is there any ideas about what we can ACTUALY DO to help SE make it? Like some kickstarter project to fund additional hands to the devs or something like that. I'm sure, that even if it's just part of the problem (even minor part), we can solve it in no time. So? Any news or treads about what SE needs?

But is there any place to ASK them about it? We can't just stand here and keeping the tread. It's all talks. We'd better to, at least, ask them what we can do.

There's no need. A multimilion dollar brand doesn't need our sheckles to get the lead out of their pants and make content for their game. They get enough money from us as is in sub money, and the optional cash shop item purchases can be viewed as donations if you do enough mental gymnastics. SE doesn't need our help, posting on the forums is enough. They don't need assistance from consumers to make their content for them, they need to know that people want them to do it in the first place.

Remember: SE is not a lone indie dev pulling all nighters working on their passion project, they are a very wealthy brand and are not our friends.

True and fair. But in the producer (or was that developer?) letter we can see clearly that it has it's toll to make new races and they DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH OF HANDS to make it now. So I asked how we could help them with that.

with Crowd funding it would probably make some odd outcry of "i supported this and dont like it" etc etc

also we know from the MH collab that Ryozo (director of the monster hunter series) offered to help yoshi with 1.0 but he turned him down because he really didnt want to rely on something like that
so id say he wouldn't accept the possibility of crowd funding anyway
and that being said money isnt the problem it is time,resources and sorting out proper work flow.

One person making a joke and you have a couple of people already posting to get this thread closed down. Some really want to have this topic deleted dont they?

It was obvious trolling, not to mention this "joke" was one of the starting points of the thread to begin with in a non joking manner. So yeah, I can't be the only one who doesn't want that to be repeated. If the discussion can continue without reverting to past arguments then I have no issue with the thread continuing onward. Still though I think this thread has outlived its usefulness regardless since there simply isn't anything more anyone can possibly say with the answer they were given. But if people want to keep talking/speculating then whatever...let's just not revert to silly, untrue accusations about the company. I'm not referring to you specifically, mind you, but I am referring to a couple of people early on in this thread.

But no, WE as users can't do anything about it except talk about it. SE I think does things In-House, they do their own projects and have their own teams.
So even if we did do some silly kickstarter to try to raise money FOR Them on this 'Genderlock' it wont mean anything, they might even just laugh and say "Oh dear, Westerners Really want Male Viera, how interesting" It would be entertaining, but it won't make the ball move any faster, this thread itself isn't gonna make Male Viera happen any faster. But its all any of us can do... Frankly we just need to be Patient.

Although I agree with the thrust of your argument, i.e. that they should not require anything more than the sub the game is already attracting (not to mention the cash shop income), I don't think taking it to that extent is necessary. After all, their developers are very committed, to the point that they put in extra work to try alleviate the situation with the Hrothgar and Viera headgear somewhat.

the semantics of the term gender lock has already been largely debated, basically it comes down to it being the accepted term for this type of thing.

For a little help think of it like this you are locked in to playing female for Viera and male for Hrothgar rather than locked out of male Viera and female Hrothgar, former implies that is all there is while the latter implies they are there which ofc their assets are not atm, lore is but no models :P
