We already dealt with losing EXP and crap like that in Eureka, and it's a terrible thing they brought from FFXI.

I worked with people to get my EXP, but something came up that was much more important, and no one is gonna take that away from me without a fight.

If anyone tried to take this from me, they'll be the one croaking.
On one hand, I understand the desire to get your mount (and it looks cool) but on the other hand it also means you left a party in a lurch.

So I understand your reasoning, but i also understand their frustration.

It feels wonky to say, "Something more important" when it is just a cosmetic mount.

Just my opinion. This would be absolutely terrible if a healer did it, as I, as a tank, have been in a 45 minute queue waiting on a healer before.

I agree that it's wrong to leave people in the lurch, and I would never leave a duty except in an emergency, but you have no more right to a healer's time than to anyone else's. If it's alright for a dps to leave, then it has to be alright for a healer to leave, even though it causes more inconvenience. (Or, if it's not alright for a healer to do it, it's not alright for a dps t do it, despite the relative lack of consequence).

As Pimmony said, you can blame the devs for making healers rare. If they'd added a new healer there would probably be more healers queuing to try it out. If they made healing more fun more people might stick to it. Don't put more burden on healers when there are already few enough people who want to do it.

I didn't mean to imply a healer's time is less valuable.

I just meant realistically DPS is a dime a dozen. If DPS leaves they get replaced instantly. Healers and tanks (like me) can cause serious problems.

Now anyone should leave in an emergency, obviously.

It's not a matter of who's time is more valuable. It's the fact that someone ditched the group after getting what they want. If "something more important" was really that important, you wouldn't wait until after you get what you want from the dungeon run, you would leave immediately.

But if we want to start weighing value of time... 1 person's time is less valuable than the 3/7/23 people's time you're ditching.
