If you've only got 1 to 2 hours to play, and are constantly waiting on queue times only to have an in demand player leave in the middle of a dungeon. Whatever playtime you had for the day was then wasted. Sure you can complete 2 maybe even 3 runs. But that easily turns into 1 maybe 2 roulettes when a healer leaves.
You clearly only think and apply yourself here. Maybe people have their own personal time related reason to drop out early? Why is it only your version of "limited time" is more valuable?

Also, if whenever someone rant about an issue and you see most people disagree with it, it's because whatever being ranted on happens VERY VERY rarely, and the impact is often only dramatized by whoever doing the ranting which will often demand an accompanied unreasonable "fix". I had played this game since 2.0, and the # of time tank/healer dropped out "because they level up" can be counted on one hand. And in those instance, it barely takes any time at all to replace, especially in recent years with the adventure in need incentive, people who play tank/healer actively fish for these unfinished run for quick reward.

So really, if you are someone who are truly suffered something like this multiple times, and each instant took you the amount of time that it would take a whole dungeon instead just a couple min, caused you enough grief that make you believe a harsh punishment is legitimate ... well, then I will indeed offer my condolence to you, because you must be a really really unlucky sod. But I doubt that is the case. Since you seem to seek out sympathy and empathy ... here is a small advice, people often not give out those if they perceive the 'victim' is dramatizing and exaggerate the issue in order to have an unjust demand.

Of course I've considered that... But if I'm having an emergency, the last thing that's on my mind is the loss of XP. However, I doubt emergency disconnects are so frequent to be considered a common occurrence. Statistically speaking, people are more self-indulgent than dealing with fires.

    Besides...

I've already conceded. It's very clear that I'm in the wrong. I'm just having to defend myself from straw manning and being called a creep because I believe people should be less selfish in an MMO.
Beating a beat man isn't a good look.
