I'd rather keep the lower recast on Onslaught for mobility where it matters. You don't "need" to gap close for solo quests, there's literally no urgency there. And every DPS I've played with has complained after pulling a boss with Onslaught, so I haven't seen any "need" for that either.

Gauge cost would be fine if it did a little more damage. Hell it's pretty much fine now, nobody would be complaining if they hadn't jacked up the other tanks gap closers. Better idea mentioned in the other thread is to allow Upheaval>Onslaught combo for needed potency gain. That way Onslaught retains it's superior recast and niche gauge managing uses and also has a DPS use outside of IR.

Don't you think it's silly that you can only use your gap closer once you've already closed the gap (initiated the fight)? The game isn't all dungeons and raids, so for me while leveling to not use this skill at least once when it should be used a lot, since it's a fun skill, just sounds like something is very wrong. And I think before the changes to Infuriate it was good, you could Infuriate out of combat and use Onslaught to get quickly on mobs, it worked just fine, now it's just silly and makes no sense. I wish Xeno would've explained why he said Onslaught is in a very weird place right now, because at least while leveling I felt this skill to be really stupidly designed. I wanted to use it a lot more, but couldn't.

But now, as it is, the only use Onslaught has is on Boss fights and when sprint is already on cooldown, even then it's 20 gauge that could be used for an Upheaval or Fell Cleave.

Upheaval is fine. If you can't wrap your head around pressing an oGCD every 30 sec by the time you unlock Inner Chaos at level 80 - time to uninstall.

Man, this community is so much better than WoW, it's like night and day! Not toxic at all.
