It is, in a sense, especially when spreading rumors that are lies. Doesn't help really. All we can do is wait, and wish. If they feel the need to add them, we'll know then, so no point really in asking and begging.
You do realize that's literally how we got the male bunny suits, right? by doing exactly what we're doing now, "asking and begging". That kind of "Just give up" attitude serves no purpose. It's a thread on a forum, it ain't hurtin' nobody. Change doesn't happen by being silent; never has, never will.
If you want to hope in silence, then that's cool, you do you, but trying to demoralize people in an attempt at showing them how fruitless you perceive the efforts are isn't helping.

A bunny suit is far easier to implement then an entire race. You know that, we all know that. That's simply a texture UV map and mesh re-model of a few items. Yoshi has already said adding another race, in this case two genders for two races, is quite complicated and time consuming. You do realize that's literally how we got the male bunny suits, right? by doing exactly what we're doing now, "asking and begging". Doesn't retract from the fact people are in this thread, and others, spreading lies about males coming out, which we know for a fact as of now, they are not.
The male version of the bunny suit wasn't exactly added in a satisfying manner in the eyes of many. It was just a straight up copy of the female version.
As for male viera, the current official situation is that it could go either way. They may be added to the game. Equally so, they might not. I'm not holding my breath for them to be added anytime soon.

I was going based off an interview, since they had wanted to launch Viera all the way back in Heavensward, had models, concepts etc. But of course never announced it until the reveal for Shadowbringers when the race was finally being brought into the game.
I'm still eager to find a source of them considering it though, I've read their twitters, and only way one could even think of thinking them considering it is if they used google translate which does very poorly in translating japanese.
For people not understanding how it works, makes them happy surely. But it's literally a two hour job at most per race. Simple rigging the mesh to the models one by one, culling model mesh for the heels, and a simply UV map tweak for clarity. Hence why some thought it lazy since the exact same mesh as the females, nothing changed just rigged to the male mesh form. Glad others got what they wanted though.
Yeah, I don't doubt that the players who pushed for and continue to push for more feminine aesthetics are happy with the bunny suit in its current form. Such things tend to be fairly niche though - it just so happens that those who enjoy it tend to be very vocal.
Or maybe, just maybe. There are more people out there that happen to like feminine aesthetics than you think. Shocking, I know. Sucks that you didn't get the Chippendale suit like you wanted, but you can always just take your toon's shirt off and achieve the same effect.
I'll never understand the people that love to go on about how "this method doesn't work" When this method was what consistently gotten us change in the game. If it weren't for people complaining about problems in this game, we'd still be in 1.0.
