Job Quests: Is that all for this xpac?

Even Nintendo may have taken away the global Pokedex in the upcoming Sword & Shield games because they decided it was too much to keep redesigning Pokemon each game going forwards.

They already took away the national dex in 7th gen. What they're doing in 8th gen is outright removing the ability to import mons not in the regional dex.

Which, yeah, is a pretty poor move to make in a collectathon game whose long-term motto has been "gotta catch 'em all". The game will still sell like hotcakes because of what it is, but as far as I'm concerned the backlash they've been getting for this move is completely justified.

They could have put all the mons in the game if they really wanted to; the Switch is more than capable of it and Game Freak has more than enough resources to do it (and people have noticed that it's not completely out of the question that they could be patched in later). What this game is is just yet another victim of the rush to release an incomplete product before Xmas season, an all too common sin in the video game industry in particular.
