DRK was an amazing ride, since it took you all the way through each npc you fight along the storyline until the very end of SB. ShB is another deal, and I was happy with the results.
Look I'm not going to miss some of the old job quests, but at least they kept you busy.
I hope they stick with role quests. Or we will start to have problems to add new jobs since it will force them to create an additional Job storyline, which the majoriry I know just skips through anyway.
I don't, there kind of generic. Some of these job quests had a lot of personality to them. Nothing about the DPS role quest had anything to do with me being a Samurai. It felt like just another quest. There was nothing different about it then any of the other quests in the other zones, apart from the fact that it moved from zone to zone.

While you'd probably always feel that way if there are future role quests, I'd say the bigger problem was having both ranged and melee physical share the same role quest. Both the Mage and Healer one at least make you feel like you are part of the role itself and while the Tank one doesn't exactly make me FEEL like a tank it was a damn good questline.I don't, there kind of generic. If they do role quests again, it's possible ranged and melee would be split next time. Here they were restricted by having it based on the pre-existing group of characters. While you'd probably always feel that way if there are future role quests, I'd say the bigger problem was having both ranged and melee physical share the same role quest. BLM 80 quest.. "talk to a few people" "done"
Yep ...... This surely would be a good place to place a famous quote...
But lets not.
I prefer substantial and story driven role quests to maybe 3(?) actually decent job quest lines, the other 15 or so being boring and forgettable.
I think I remember that some stated that the one job quest at 80 would be good enough that its kinda like all the normal job quests combined. But at least for dancer (even if it was nice) it still felt like just one small quest, maybe that varies from job to job.
I did the BLM one and for the most part I enjoyed them, this one I was just bored and really uninterested.
