Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Elezen, Midlanders and catmen exist to cater to slender builds - Au Ra and Highlanders to more highly muscular ones - Roes and Hrothgar for over the top bara builds. And lalafell for tiny ones. Doesn’t seem to me like it’s the muscular men who are ‘enough already’ unless you lump two distinctive build types together. I can assure you that many of us who like the Highlander and Au Ra muscularity wouldn't consider playing Roegadyn or Hrothgar because of their bulk.

It doesnt matter to me if there are already races that cater a certain body type. I dont like the idea in general to "sacrifice" male Viera, just to cater a body type for a small audience. We talk about a fantasy race, not Sims5. So put back your fetishes and actually support what you all came here for. The Male Viera to be implemented and give the devs/artists free space to design them to their ideals. Everything else will result in disappointment and more whining.

He already looks like a Roegadyn, so why a 3rd meaty race? I disagree. If someone wants a muscled race, go play Hrothgar or Highlanders. More than enough already in game.

I still think Au Ra is more like Elezen than highlander. In fact I'd say they are more slim. They are just around a foot taller.

Their builds are virtually identical when put side to side in terms of bulk. The only difference with Highlanders is the muscle tone slider, and along certain areas of the torso. Either way, quite some distance from Roegadyn/Hrothgar.

Aye, this confirms that their heads are a lot bigger, more their jaw. It's the adult body length that would be the one we're looking for. Which they do say they are 'usually' larger. So, even if we took this. And they were to use it as a baseline, which they probably won't, then the male's height scale would dip below the average female, but some would also be taller. Looking at parts of papers - which weren't that informative to be honest - this just brings me to the conclusion that males have a larger size range than the females.

Not worth going on or adapting into the race honestly, though if it did it would make some folks happy for males to be taller than females if they wished to be, but also smaller than them in regards to the minimum height.

They're stocky but they still cluster around the same build as Elezen and Midlanders, with some tweaks. There's lots of ways you can slice it up, with a continuum including Midlanders, Miqo'te, Elezen, Highlanders and Au Ra; then, Roegadyn and Hrothgar in their own grouping... and then Lalafell in their own little category.

No why? I just stick to the statement of Yoshida and he described them as elegant, handsome and slim. There is no need to deny the truth.

From what I gather, and I may be wrong, each option takes up another means of customization. So like, if there was a tuft of fur, and it was a customizable option, it would take up the place of something else, something like ear/ear size would take up that slot, hyur have muscle slider. If the tuft of fur was permanent to the body, or maybe added to features (?) it could work, I think. I'm not exactly sure how their character creation works, and I am probably wrong, but that's what I've gathered.

Personally I wouldn't want the tuft of fur, I think it it would look dumb, but that's just me. Rather, I wouldn't want it permanent to the character, if it was an option I wouldn't mind, but we might not get a choice. Still I probably wouldn't play a male viera, so I don't really have a horse in this race.

U have a say ofc, since even if u might not main it u might be tempted to make an alt, or just prefer seeing them look better, and eveyrone's opinions are worth listening to.

Personally, If there's fur I wouldn twant it to replace the ears, and I wouldnt like/ think they would do actual tuff, since that means resources and they'll likely use as few as they can to have them set for 6.0 without exhausting their team too much, I'd rather get body hair, or, if Im completely honest, a muscle slider would be even better.

Personally I wouldnt mind them, but it dosent really fit their lore or their description I think? I mean, that is fierce and all, but its mroe of a brute/barbaric nordic warrior than a silent deadly gracefull assasin, might be wrong tho, and its just my opinion.

I would still play them like this as long as their animations are at least somewhat gracefull

also, even if this arent exactly how I want em, I wouldnt mind having them look like this tbh, it stills look great and the art is amazing
