Neither is yours, which is why it's inappropriate to grab a couple of random anecdotes and invent an epidemic that has never existed.I glad you have had a better experience in the msq queue than others, but your experience is not the only experience. Also, never did I speak to my personal opinions about the matter. I did say how the dungeon was meant to be run, but only because it’s been confirmed that was their intent and further reiterated by the their changes.
So I guess SE just pulled this change to the cutscenes out of the sky when they implemented it? They had no data suggesting that the new player experience was being interrupted? There was obviously something going on in sufficient quantities to elicit this change. They didn’t just randomly decide to make the change.

That is a vastly more general claim than the very specific one you made to begin with. Let's keep the goalposts firmly planted where they started, shall we?So I guess SE just pulled this change to the cutscenes out of the sky when they implemented it? All I said is people complained about carrying noobs, flamed them for not watching in the inn, among other complaints that were hurled about. And in the post before I discussed players behaving badly. That’s a specific as I got. I didn’t move the goal post either. You are the one acting like these things didn’t happen and I’m also not saying you didn’t have all positive experiences. I just pointed out that something obviously happened to warrant the change.

I think what happened was just that the dungeons were done in speed runs with no cutscenes. That, along with just zooming through mobs to portals sort of removes both dungeons from their original context. Storywise those are penultimate moments in the 2.0 arc. Hours of play have led to those dungeons. New players not being able to see what happens in them when they are actually in them is, well, kinda crummy. All I said is people complained about carrying noobs, flamed them for not watching in the inn, among other complaints that were hurled about. Yeah, and that wasn't happening with any real regularity. Now you're sitting here trying to use the mere fact that SE changed it to prove that there was some problem as though it supports your claims. I already acknowledged the reason that SE changed it, but SE's change wasn't a result of bad player behavior, just ordinary and innocuous behavior that created a situation that, in their opinion, was less than ideal. All I said is people complained about carrying noobs, flamed them for not watching in the inn, among other complaints that were hurled about. This is more in line with reality though. I'm certainly not suggesting sprouts never ever got flamed, but it's definitely not at the heart of why SE made the change, which was simply the speed running of a dungeon with stupidly long cutscenes.I saw it happen a few times, but before the changes I encountered mostly silence as new players were left in the dust while the rest went on to massacre both dungeons. When SE made the changes to MSQ roulette to make watching cutscenes mandatory I had to agree with them. It was all but necessary. I wouldn't have called it an epidemic, but it was definitely an issue.

From the patch notes: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com//lode...33e139e9792abf
To ensure new players are able to enjoy the cutscenes in Castrum Meridianum and the Praetorium, all cutscenes in these dungeons can no longer be skipped.
Because this will increase the time required to complete these dungeons, completion rewards and Duty Roulette bonuses for these duties have been increased.
It is specifically because new players were not able to watch the cutscenes that this was enforced.
