In regards to Dancer and Brd/Mch Gear

Is there no oversight, nobody in charge of looking at the gear in game and saying is this appearance appropriate for the jobs it is assigned to? Just looking at the Eden gear in light of my dancer makes me want to barf. The Ronkan set I forgave, afterall it was just tome crap everybody glams that crap, and really the same can be said about all high level gear. SE just seems incapable of putting out attractive designs either they're hiring art school failures or they don't have enough Otaku running the show. Cmon SE this quality shortfall could be forgiven if for every dumpster fire you release was accompanied with an equal number of interesting attractive glam options or best yet just make the stuff look better in the first place. Instead we have to comb through the trash heap to find anything remotely presentable to wear. Even sadder I have to come to the forums and complain about it, the detailing on some of these pieces shows someone is actually intending this stuff to come out like this which makes me fear for the game as a whole.

I think the problem lies in too many jobs now sharing the same gear. Honestly, GNB and DNC don't fit into where they have been placed, so we are never going to get great DNC gear. Basically DNC and GNB will have to be glamoured, which stinks.

Can't please everyone. Just glamour stuff on stuff you don't like and move on? Not everything looks nice to everyone.

The first set of 8-man normal raids always gives off a "dim" or "tarnished" aura, and while savage versions can be dyed, normally the highly sought after pieces are from the 2nd or 3rd set of raids.

Not gonna lie, while I do get the desire for gear sets from dungeons/raids to match the jobs that can wear them...the Captain of the Guard at the Crystarium is a dancer wearing full armor, except for around her thighs.

Really outside of job artifacts, I wouldn't expect gear to look like they were tailor made for every job.

I mean, I agree that it’s super ugly in my opinion, but there’s not much we can do now that it’s already been released.

Also as an aside why does Dragoon always get the capes? Why can’t ranged get a an actual cape for once lol

Dancers have multiple aesthetics
The guard captain is in full armor and she looks fine
Gunbreaker is a bit more screwed because they just look wrong in full plate armor

Wish they would just drop glamour restrictions. Pretty much every tier of armor consists of like 3 versions with minor differences between the roles, and those verson are randomly mixed each tier. Like how the new Eden tier have DRG/Ranged, Melee/Healer, Nin/Caster share the looks.

This. If they wanted DNC to be a DPS, they should have shared gear with NIN.
