Female Viera are almost identical in body shape and size to female Elezen, obviously body base that would make the most sense would be male Elezen.

I very much agree with this. In my opinion, it does make sense to use male elezen as a base for male viera, and I think if male viera are added, this will most likely be the base the devs use. Of course, the proportions will be modified, just like it was with female viera.

They are literally using the Hyur midlander hempen set, which tells me they are using the midlander's body..

Looks like a modified elezen base to me.
I'm sure most of the races started with a hyur base at first, but then were modified. Now they are no longer hyur models.

It's just something there to point out that more than likely since female Viera were very clearly a variation of female Elezen with a larger head, male Viera might mirror it by being a male Elezen with a larger head. I think it would fit both the female counter parts and make sense with their lifestyle.

It's arguing semantics at this point. They might not even modify it they might just do the same thing as females and just adjust the muscle slider (tone) default.

It's clear, at least to me, that female viera look quite similar to female elezen, but with adjusted proportions. I believe male viera will also look similar to male elezen, but with adjusted proportions. It's not unreasonable to assume they would use an elezen base and modify that.
