While they don't know if someone play on PS4, there is a hint to know if someone play with a controller.
Running left and right with side steps and doing backsteps - mostly a keyboard player
Turning the body to the direction of the run - mostly a controller player (legacy control on controller is just so much better than standard control)

Aside from the controlling issues (I hate the controller gameplay in this game), I can only spot PS4 players by them being stuck longer in loading instances or watching cutscenes longer due to quicker loading from my SSD.

That only allow you to spot HDD users. You can change the HDD in a PS4 with a SSD.

Party Finder is always going to be filled with recruiters having preferences that may not make sense to you. If you see something like that, just don't join 'em/form your own.

As I said before, it is impossible for a run to turn into a walk because of a bad internet connection. That's simply not how TCP/IP works. That's akin to saying a Blizzard II going off because of a bad connection when the BLM used Blizzard III. They're two entirely different commands sent according to the server. The analogue stick has a sensitivity setting, where a half-push will walk, and a full push will run, but there's no latency between them on the PS4 end, it's literally as quick as you can push the analogue stick.

What you've seen is down to player control, not PS4 limitations, someone has literally been pushing the stick slowly.

M/KB players' characters start off sprinting and come to full stop when moving and stopping. Whereas controller players accelerate into a walk then run and likewise slow down when coming to a stop.

i play on pc so this kinda confused me. like whats stopping you from lying? yes they ask no ps4 scrubs yadayada, but they dont know right? even if you play with ps4 cant you just say "nah iam pc" or something like that?

or does it show you like an icon or something that you are on console?

If you play on PS4 and check others search info, there will be their PSN ID if they are on PS4 as well. So, in fact, to say that players are on PS, that PF-holder had to be on PS himself. And then he's rather... has no brains, I would say.

Just to be fair: I had serious problems with moving on previous controller. Character could walk when I wanted to run, or start moving without even my actions for it, or move in another direction at all. But: it was an actual DEVICE'S DEFECT. It wasn't normal thing and as soon as I changed the controller this problem disappeared.

So wherever you see players with such weird movement problems - their controller is most likely defective. The chance to have such problems on keyboard is almost zero, of course, but it still has nothing to do with statement "controller/PS4 players start running by walking". It's not okay if they do, and they should check their device for defects if it's like this.

What you've seen, is a couple of controller users who are running slowly due to slow analogue stick control, probably due to hesitation, or intention, or maybe a faulty device.

This is akin to saying all gay guys are camp and talk with a lisp, because "every gay guy I've seen is camp with a lisp" completely oblivious to the fact that there are far more gay people you've come across without a lisp that you've completely discounted because you assumed they were straight.

You don't have evidence, or anecdotal evidence, or observation, all you have is prejudice and have drawn false conclusions.
