I disagree. Grinding just three classes to 60+ on roullettes, PotD, and HoH (maybe even fates to shake things up) is draining. It's been a year and I still can't force myself to bother levelling from the ground up. I don't think it's a thing the majority of people "can" do, while a select few could either by buying level skips (but then that would essentially be one pricy-ass common amaro), already had most if not all of their classes to 70, or just resilient like an ox.

If it was Seto - a giant amaro - who was locked behind all 80's requirement (or even another type of "special" amaro) I think people would be more understanding/accepting of that. But these are the very same Amaro that you can use anywhere with an Amaro keep. In other words: they're as plenty and common as Chocobo, as people have been saying. We got our first chocobo via MSQ. We got our black chocobo via MSQ. So, why didn't we get our "first-Chocobo Amaro" via MSQ, and then a special amaro via having all 80's?

I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.

This is a separate issue from the mount itself. The expansion has been out for a week now, and we have 2 years until the next one. You can level all the jobs with the daily leveling, trial, and 8 man raid roulettes. The armory bonus, earrings, food, manuals, and buffs are more than enough that you can do this by then. The other things you listed you'd only do if you were trying to be as quick as possible.
