I'll retract the idea of a shared Universe based on this 1 important fact

Ok, first of all, the people you're saying are a minority in a minority, there's been very few name-calling in a while, and you're using a lot of buzzwords taken out of context. We don't know the full extent of the budget, but from Yoshi's comments it's not enough for the numbers that XIV brings in. Heck, no one's thrown the sexism and homophobia cards in months (at least, not in this thread).
Second, males existed, just were never shown, and as I've said before: when we go to Golmore Jungle, we specifically go to the areas that would be in control of Eruyt, a female Village, so if the males have control over their own part of the forest (as the Ultimania says), we wouldn't see it, and we see very few Viera outside the Woods anyway.
Point being, Lore doesn't even need to change to introduce playable males (and female Ronso). They're super rare and very seldomly leave the woods, except for the exception to all Lore rules: the PC.

Lol, Just because these words weren't said in a while doesn't negate the fact that it happened. It should be mention that these "buzzwords" have been used in plenty of other places like Reddit and Youtube Comment sections, not just here on the Official Forums.
I never said they didn't exist, my wording may have been off, but never seeing one has been a staple since 2003 with Tactics Advance due to them hiding in the woods. Besides all that, we are literally agreeing then that Male Viera are fine....If there is a Good Written Reason for them to come out of hiding. Lore would still need to be tweaked 'slightly' to involve this reason. Because the Males barley, if ever, leave the Woods.

Im not touching Female Hrothgar, because thats not the topic, and there isn't some Decade Old Excuse that people like me are Clinging to.

But.... there are so many little reasons piling up that makes this just not a great solution. Obviously the wrong titles/pronouns is an issue but also clothes. Items I used to wear as pants are now suddenly skirts or booty shorts. Like are there seriously no just pants for women in this game?

Lore wise, we know little of Male Viera other then they live apart from the women, are smaller and stockier from what other games told us, and that's about it... I don't mind they are not in the game though, but some of the fan art making them younger looking boys, or skinny tall men is a bit silly.

If they do add them, I pray it's not based off of fanart, and keeps to the little lore we have of them.

I don't think any game in the series has commented on their appearance, has it? Besides, XIV is not beholden to how they were described in other settings, even if it were the case. FFXIV's concept art for them did not portray them as such, in any case, but I agree on the younger looking art being wholly unfitting.

Oof, I made them on the smaller side and suddenly put the dancer top on and BOOBS, like, what the hell? Also my High House Justaucorps is male only... <_<

Im sticking to the belief it will be closer to 6.0. The dev team should focus more on the current ShB content, Balancing ShB content, and working on the In-Game Holiday events. Maybe after the 1st year they can splinter off and begin development of Male Viera and Female Hrothgar.

Plus it would be cool if they worked on more Faces and/or Hairstyles for the 2 races. And fix in more Headgear

i'm having the same problem here too.
My biggest challenge is to make one swimwear with this character. I tried to put the werewolf chest (and say something like "I have hairy chest"), but the chest of this set have a wolf tail, who arruined my plans. My next plan is try the moogle chest

EDIT: I remembered now that this moogle chest have two wings... well, back to the planning stage =(

well zanarkand, how i see it, is that judging purely from all the information we have for patch plans, we're having: ishgard restoration. probably a larger scale version of the doman enclave restoration, plus a refurbished diadem. i don't see this taking up an extraordinary amount of development time considering that they have a large amount of assets already done and dusted, with them needing alterations, which is much less intensive than creating the assets from scratch. we also have raids, alliance raids, hard sb dungeons, new story dungeons, which are pretty standard.
