That's a terrible suggestion. If it's really so bad it's unavoidable, use trusts.

I've had players rage in dungeons, rage quit trials, throw fits in voice because they didn't get their way on a Savage static trial night.

It comes with the territory of interacting with people, it's not every single encounter and it's not what I'd call common. If you're that scared of a negative interaction, then don't... play a game that has other people in it. Simple as that.

Or just be an adult and take the good with the bad.

Do not turn your chat off, all MMOs have toxic people, if toxic people are ruining everything In game then gaming isn’t for you because they won’t go away unfortunately
These are amongst the most condescending posts that I've seen in a long, long time. So if one wishes to avoid toxic, trolling behaviour, and the community and / or the developers aren't doing enough to curb it, one should be an adult and move on and or stop playing online games entirely? What horrible solutions, and is close to a defense of player toxicity of online games. "Yeah, well, it's going to happen, so either move on or stop playing." These are the kind of attitudes that keeps that extremely negative behaviour around.

Chat window hidden was, and still is, the best way to play the game.
