Please do not do this, MMOs require communication and you will definately miss important information. Recommending this to new players contributes to playesr being perseved as being willfully ignorant
I assume these are dungeons you refer to as you're doing roulettes.
Almost all dungeons follow these two rules.
1) Follow the non-diverging path straight to the boss.
2) The boss may light up the floor, don't be in it.
Yes there are some with some interesting mechanics and I love those.
Some early dungeons you can see multiple paths and I love those too.
But the sad state of things is, once you've learned one dungeon you have basically learned them all.
Not only have I not ever seen peopel act like the way you describe, I also rarely ever see people struggling to the point where something like that needs to be said at all.

Then you come across a scenario unsubscribed in my last post. Such as the Snowcloak second boss.
I've had a player that just kept killing every spriggan even after multiple attempts to tell them to stop. Turns out they didn't have their chat on at all, battle log only. They only clued in after we started /throw emoting at her once the fight was over, with liberal use of the do not attack signage. She apologized and I realized for the first time this was something people did. They shouldn't do that.

I joined a party in progress in aurum Vale, apparently the last healer had been rude and horrible to the sprout tank, before the healer left :/
It's 2019. There is no "important information" that can only be obtained from other players. Every rotation can be intuited by reading skill descriptions and trial and error. Raid strats can be easily obtained outside of game. Dungeon bosses mechanics are easily picked up by actually doing the boss. I could go on. So I still, and likely will always, recommend that players turn off chat, until such a time as devs start banning all the toxic players running rampant in their games. Enjoyable game experiences > having to read the thoughts of trolling and toxic players.
Even with this story, they still should do that. Toxic players can absolutely destroy a new player's experience (and for that matter, anyone's experience). Until S-E purges the game of toxicity, turning off chat is the best way to maximize enjoyment. Then you come across a scenario unsubscribed in my last post. Such as the Snowcloak second boss.

These people complaining about others are not too far away from truth.
I had few team that were playing like someone who just got to lvl 30 and tried the duty roulette for the first time. Zero AOE, killing mobs took forever, healer healing with one spell, people dying to mechanics three times in the row, undergeared characters with around 300-340 ilvl and more.
There is a immense surge of players who bought themselves a potion jumps, and the ones who does not care about anything at all.
I just had a 55 minutes ill megh dungeon yesterday, healer barely was able to heal me from tanking 1 pack of mobs (with cooldowns and heals on my warrior), we wiped 3 times at the tree boss, seriously the run went WORSE than with trust system, it was true nightmare, never realised how BAD people could play, some are worse than trust NPC for real.
I am not surprised at all that some may lose their nerves already and they have no patience leftover for roullettes.

The amount of toxicity I encounter through DF is pretty low. It happens, it'll happen. Grow up, get over it and move on. Report it if it's heinously bad. Vent about it in the thread dedicated for it if the bad taste lingers. Don't suggest crippling every party a new player joins by telling them to turn off all communication channels. That's a terrible suggestion. If it's really so bad it's unavoidable, use trusts. It's 2019. There is no "important information" that can only be obtained from other players. I've had players rage in dungeons, rage quit trials, throw fits in voice because they didn't get their way on a Savage static trial night.
It comes with the territory of interacting with people, it's not every single encounter and it's not what I'd call common. If you're that scared of a negative interaction, then don't... play a game that has other people in it. Simple as that.
Or just be an adult and take the good with the bad.
I havent had any bad people yet... *knocks on wood* It sounds liek you're really just having some bad luck. Stand up for those being abused and dont take any crap from the arseholes.
yeah... today has been an horrible day when it comes to pugs. 5 dungeons / trials where people were either nasty to sprouts, blaming other people and/or just so bad i wanted to slit my wrists (and i don't mean bad like not knowing mechanics. i mean bad as in unpleasant and ignoring any advice about mechanics making the party wipe again and again and again....)
Thanks to today half of my static has PTSD when it comes to Titania and we are no longer doing it "for fun" nor to help new players.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day![]()

If we're talking about new content I will say that every trial and dungeon I've run people have been MORE understanding and careful in the content which I honestly kind of expected. it's new stuff, there are no guides, people are gonna lower their expectations just a tad. However people took it to another step in almost every run: Stopping to talk about story points, admiring mechanics and discussing tactics, explaining the run to people who have not done it before. Most of my dungeon runs have been single pull tanks as well and not one person has complained that it was "slow".
Personal experience: This expansion has made this game new again for many people.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
