I dont know where you get this source but let me tell you, lazypeon made a video crying about BDO being p2w and he quit. After a long time he came back and played seriously, but the community didnt like him because of his bs.

its funny people on this forum hate him because he spreads misinformation, but they are exactly doing the same thing.

tbh i expected he doesnt like ffxiv, he played BDO for a long time, and in that game almost everything isnt locked behind the story quests, you have more freedom.

At the end, if you want to find a review of the game you wanna try, dont ever watch youtubers like peon because he doesnt stick to a game long enough, watch people that have played the game for a long time.

@topic--Lazypeon makes good "first impression" vids--he's not the type of "reviewer" you'd trust to give you sound advice on which MMO you'd play for a long time. and at my age, I know well enough first impressions hardly matter. if I'm really interested in a game, I'd play it myself. as a longtime MMO player, I also like to watch "reviews" like Peon's to see how the first few levels of a new MMO would look like. mostly the character creator part ������
his further "review" of FFXIV is just him trying to justify why he couldn't stick with the game. he likes action MMOs more as some have already observed, and he seem to favor PvP-centric games too, it's no surprise he'll hate FFXIV. needless to say, his video echoed some valid complaints the FFXIV community had already expressed. regardless, if SE continues to care for the quality of the game, and listen to the community when warranted, then FFXIV should endure. there's no need to listen to negative feedback from people who don't plan on contributing to making this game better.

never understood why people take that guy serious.. he made some points and they are all based off his opinion which is fine its the internet.. but he will make a video giving a game high praise then like a month later make one saying why he is quite's said game. he is an mmorpg reviewer that has mmo burnout and those are the worst kind.

i ignore that youtuber if i were you, if iam not wrong isnt he the guy who usually go "i hate this game its shit" and a couple of months later another vid of "i was wrong with this game, now i enjoy it"

This particular guy thinks RuneScape is infinitely better than ffxiv. He considers the game slow and boring but raves on the leveling system in old school RuneScape where it’s waaaaay slower and waaaay more boring. I mean, yeah osrs is great and all but better than ffxiv, nah dude... He claims he has to watch something on the side for ffxiv leveling but I highly doubt he don’t have anything on his other monitor while playing RuneScape. My brother would binge watch anime gettin his skills maxed out, the only way he was able to do so.

Oh I remember that guy from my brief time on BLESS. I hope people have the decency not to bash him just because he doesn't like the game. I have quite a few friends I tried to get on board and they also did not like the fights and the leveling so I can see where he is coming from. But ShB is pretty amazing so far. I think he is missing something.

When using mobile phone you can request desktop site which will gain access to the edit feature (just makes the page look like the desktop ), you can find this usually by clicking three dots or lines things that look like main menu / setting buttons (top right or by the address bar in your app, depends on if you're using chrome, firefox, or what have you, but most likely an option in the menu).



Interestingly there is some info on mobile that isn't on the desktop page, so it can be fun to go between them and see the differences lol.

Also the slashes appear after apostrophes, usually.. lol, while editing and such on mobile - which is fun stuff.

You are entirely missing the point, you cannot lambast one for a grindy experience and then allow another a grindy experience and hold that a grindy experience is a point against one and not the other without being hypocritical. He doesn't qualify the difference between JRPG and KRPG, just that it is an MMO and it's horrendously grindy.

What is so grindy about ffxiv? The glamour grind is optional and you dont have to do it.
In BDO you have no choice, if you dont grind you are on the lowest level of the food chain, which basically destroys pvp balance between players all together and the game itself becomes a pithole for money later on.
Its being called a BAD game for a reason, mainly due to the nature of the stats scaling to the ilvl, the more ilvl you have in BDO the more stats you get per 1 point and this is turning it into the complete clown fiesta, where you cant catch up with the oldest or richest players on a server like at all. A combat, graphics and etc means literally nothing if the main point of this game PVP is flawed to the core and unbalanced, even classes are not balanced let alone players progression which is almost impossible to do without spending money on it. You need at least 200$ to play this game effectively and still pay a pretty expensive sub for additional bonuses, so economically you wont get behind everyone.

His view on new player experience might be legit, the wall of quest and text maybe too much for "new and younger" audiances, but his idea that SE deliberately did this because they wanted to sell story skip is kinda break his credibility on the subject
