Yoshi seemed to like the idea of limiting houses so only a certain percentage of players had a house. The thing is not everything Yoshi likes is necessarily a good idea plus unless you're Japanese your suggestions are irrelevant, at least that's what I've heard on the vine. Apartments would've been a better alternative to having your own home if they also had gardens but I heard it's something to do with the weather that affects gardens? Another floor would've been nice too instead of the dinky little box with barely any room to swing a lalafel.

I'm personally looking forward to this as a current home owner so I can relocate my small to a medium that someone will inevitably abandon in one of the old wards in favor of an Ishgard plot.

1: They said no.
2: That's how it worked for 2 weeks and I'm guessing it caused more problems because they removed FC ownership restrictions.
3: There's already a relocation timer.

Bonus: What would really help housing is bring the prices back to 2.1 era. Period.

Nice but besides the point. I know some people love the challenge of minimalist houses cram-packed with items to give the illusion of a larger home, but I honestly think apartment homes should be of near equivalent in terms of housing with no few than 2 levels and access to a communal garden with allocated plots for crop growing/crossbreeding.

But tbh, just the other day close to my house there was an open land and different people kept camping there while I was doing duties, the next day someone got it and they have not yet even decorated it. I feel bad for the people who actually wanted the house for good use.
