Reduce threat for what? The problem is the tank shouldn't die, be it the tanks fault or others. After that it's pretty much a wipe anyways so just wipe and learn and do it again.Or they're standing in bad/had another player run mechanics onto them that got them cleaved. It's not always as simple as 'it's the healer's or their gear's fault' much as we might all wish it was. Having an option to reduce threat, especially attached to a pre-existing skill that causes no button bloat isn't a tall order for those 'oh shit' moments we all know happen from time to time.




Ever try to raise someone while a mob is wailing on you? I see you don't have healers leveled so perhaps not unless that's an alt. If the animation isn't cancelled outright you're dead before you can get the long cast off if Swiftcast is on cooldown, which it often is in those 'oh shit' moments. Enmity dropping as a healer isn't just for hate ripping, it's to help save a potential wipe and give the healer just long enough to get enough people back on their feet. Because when the healer is spam healing while the tanks are dead /they ARE/ going to get threat.

You do realize healers can spend their entire time healing, doing everything right, and still have people die because they're allergic to doing mechanics right? And for those people who are allergic to doing mechanics, a few more seconds in a fight can help them figure stuff out more readily. Telling them to 'get gud' is trite and doesn't address the problem in any way.
Ok so tank dies the job and the healers do their jobs so what is the threat debuff you guys want for? And so what people wipe. You wipe and then do it again, you wipe and address the problem. It takes what, 30 seconds to respawn and run back? So what does threat reduction have to do with any of this?

Don't even bother trying to raise if swift is down, just try and grab aggro because you probably have a better chance of mini tanking than DPS, slap on a medica 2, use presence, then try and burn the mob down with holy, assize, holy holy holy holy holy holy holy while using every OGCD heal you have up ... and I suppose GCD heals. If you die then you die *shrugs*. It's not like real life where dying has huge consequences. However it is definitely possible to mini tank entire dungeons using the healer but it really depends which dungeon, and big mobs are still a problem xDEver try to raise someone while a mob is wailing on you? Enmity is now the sole responsibility of the tanks, as it should be. If they die to a trash mob then either they pulled too big or the healer wasn't paying attention/didn't catch up. So it's a mistake to correct.

Don't use medica 2 in 4 mans. Ever. As for 'have you ever raised while a mob is wailing on you?' Yes. Regen, Divine Benison, Sure Cast, res. Or swiftcast res. Or don't let the tank die while you have infinite MP as a WHM.
The other two have even easier healing thanks to Adlo/Aspected Benefic. Why healers are so afraid to use their mp and only cast physick (the worst healing spell in the game) is beyond me. I think it's more l2p, especially if people are dumb enough to say Physick heals more than Adloquium
