Strongly disagree. Eureka was an amazing experience for organized group gameplay. It was utterly terrible as pug/solo content. Good pug content won’t ever look the same as good group content, and that’s why hallway dungeons with speed bumps aren’t fun to people seeking a real party experience.
I enjoyed it immensely sorry. I have multiple toons who have cleared all zones and BA. Running the same old tired content we did in 4.0 would have been a big turnoff. Relative to 5.0 I don't think they've decided yet on how the relic will be structured.
The game and the story should be accessible to 100% of the player base. I get that there are plenty of people that only have fun if they're challenged, and there are people that have fun even if they're not. I have fun playing Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley. I'd hardly call those challenging games. At the end of the day you're only going to get out of the game what you put into it. Games should be fun and if you're not having fun move on. You're just wasting your money.
it is like going back to MMO stone age
I still remember wasting hours just in shout just to gather player with the right role just to form a leveling party, then if I miss 2-3 days I am done and forever left behind
some history should not be unwritten, and Eureka type of MMO experience should be one
Yoshi P and his team acknowledged the failures of both Diadem and Eureka and stated in an interview or maybe more than one that they are working on something much better that people will hopefully be excited to play. They're not stupid nor blind. I think that Eureka may have looked good on paper but once they put it in action, it didn't pan out as they had hoped.it is like going back to MMO stone age

Hard disagree. Eureka was some of the most fun I've ever had in an MMO. Probably on the same level as WoW: Burning Crusade. There was something about these mechanics in old MMOs that added to the overall enjoyment and reward you get.it is like going back to MMO stone age

How many time they're going to give us that line again before they finaly get it right ? I'm no guinea pig, they at least should consider not putting high incencitive reward in experimental braindead piece of utter trashtier fun-graveyard.Yoshi P and his team acknowledged the failures of both Diadem and Eureka and stated in an interview or maybe more than one that they are working on something much better that people will hopefully be excited to play. I’m genuinely curious, what is your original statement here based on?The game and the story should be accessible to 100% of the player base. Even many single player JRPGs have difficulty that increases over time. If difficulty increases, then there surely must be some people for whom, somewhere along the way, the difficulty becomes too hard to continue. If you go outside classic turn-based JRPG design, it gets even more exacerbated. I can assure you there are people who never beat Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea’s main story due to the difficulty. And those aren’t Dark Souls. They aren’t even twitch reaction games. The strategy required is just beyond some people and/or their “fun limit.”
You definitely can’t rescue the princess from the castle if you consistently choke on the jumps in 8-1. That’s not a flaw in game design. That’s what makes Super Mario Bros a game instead of a movie.
