Well, it's not like the Crystal tower had that much possible hiding spots for that beacon haha.

I have been curious what they had planned for that one moment in CT ending for years.

Guess people can only speculate now if they had Shadowbringer expansion planned since CT ended or it was just that they could not figure out how to continue where that CT ending left off.

I certainly expect a small additional scene were we find that beacon Nero tossed down there exclusive to players who completed CT storyline since players who did not complete CT storyline will not have caused the events for the beacon to be down there.

Well we know they planed a lot of things in advance, but it could very well be possible that Eureka really was supposed to take place underneath the CT in their original plan of whatever they would do with it, but by the time SB xpac started they most likely had atleast the planning stages for SHB done and thus changed things around a bit. Still made it an important scene though.
