You're argument makes it sound like everyone runs a 60hz 1080p monitor. I have a 144hz monitor... I dont feel I should just be capped at 90fps regardless of whether my system or monitor is capable of more

Player discussion aside, I dont understand the NEED to have changed this. Is there some REAL WORLD reason this cap is being put in place? Can we have the reason for this SE?

Someone already addressed this earlier in the thread. It is very likely that several values are tied to frame rate, allowing people with bots to get places they shouldn't by exploiting this. By limiting frame rate they prevent this from being abused in the future.

This is certainly a band aid fix in that case.

Also, ideally you will still be able to play a 1/1 capped ratio, matching your monitors refresh rate. We will know for certain soon.
