They should have to abide by the same rules everyone else does, sorry. I don't care if they have "furniture they can't use." If everyone else has to abide by the one house per character per server rule, so should they. Anything else [like the person on Gilg who owns and entire ward] is just sheer out greed.

It doesn't matter if you don't care. SE cares and they've grandfathered in those houses. They aren't going to change it so get over it. They broke no rules and shouldn't have to suffer as a result of a rule change. SE recognized that and have acted accordingly.

My main complaint about it is these people who have purchased *entire wards* on crowded servers, making it impossible for any newcomer to get a house. A lot of us worked *hard* to save up the cash for a house, only to never have a chance to get one just because we haven't been playing since beta. It's kinda crappy.

Most multi home owners bought homes for alts because they couldn't even use a mender in the house of their main. Had SE allowed alts to share housing I'm sure most wouldn't have bothered buying a second home. They still haven't fixed that although now alts can't buy a house and can't even share one.

Those houses by the was were most likely puschased at a time when housing was plentiful like some servers today have 100's of homes for sale atm. SE needs to address the housing issue for everyone and taking it out on people who did nothing but follow the rules shouldn't be an answer.

Personally, my answer for this [by the by my thinking that they make these multi-home owners abide by the same rules as everyone else was designed in my mind as a temporary measure to make more housing available until they implemented this] was semi-instanced ward maps. set up *kinda* like the apartments, only full maps. Each apartment can have up to 90 instances, to my understanding. If they set the wards up like *that*, semi-instanced, you could have up to 90 60-house wards in each housing area, and sure, you'd need to deal with a bit of load time unless someone else was already in the ward, but it'd solve a great deal of the housing crunch.

I think instanced apartments which have small, medium and large options which was talked about would do a lot to help the housing situation. Whether or not they'll actually implement that remains to be seen.

If the gardening code worked with apartments I'd be going that route instead of trying to get a house. Making the wards semi-instanced would force them to rewrite that code so it'd work right. lol.

Lots of people could care less about gardening and yeah I know it means a lot to some. Personallly I don't garden. One has to wonder what these farms they've talked about will allow. I haven't really read anything more about them.

If they have communal farm/gardening plots for the apartment buildings, it'd also help a lot.

Exactly, you don't care, SE does, honestly if you haven't gotten a house, then its cuz you haven't actually tried most likely. Are you checking the wards on the hour? Were you on when the mass demo happened? Where you up at 5am when they added new wards to try and grab one? IF not, then no you *weren't* really trying to get a house. If you want to do to it more casually, then fine. But stop trying to take things from other people who rightfully acquired them. If you have no respect for other players, then quite frankly no one should have any respect for you and your misguided opinions.
