Lost my house!!!

It certainly hasn't been more than a month since I last visited my house and it's been demolished and the land already purchased by someone else. According to the rules on auto demolition the house is flagged and demolished if it hasn't been visited in 45 days, but I last visited it on 2nd this month and the emails (I discovered hidden deep in my spam folder) were sent just 2 weeks after! This was really unfair SE, my main character is obviously active and not one of those that only log in once a month to make sure their house isn't flagged for demolishing.

I really don't understand why someone would spend that much time and pay that much gil to buy a house and basically abandon it. And from my understanding you have to go inside the house for it to count.

I did go inside it, and it wasn't abandoned. I had been busy spamming dungeons and participating in gates at the golden saucer during the moogle and golden saucer events, so I was just too busy to revisit it the past 3 weeks. Someone suggested that I write an email to SE, I don't think SE can do anything about me having lost the house but perhaps they can investigate why the house got flagged in the first place.

As for why others do it they do it to monopolise the land until someone gives them a bigger offer to buy it off them, usually with medium and large plots. I've heard of people buying large plots from others for 50k. Some people also do it to monopolise entire wards just because they can.

Possibly this is the bug i heard of during the recent demolition, even if you enter the house you still need to atleast interact with interactable furnishings to cancel the bug.

Wait what, you mean like plant pots, guest books etc? Only ones I had in that house were plant pots, a summoning bell and an armoire. I'm fairly sure I used the summoning bell that day.

Items like summoning bells, npc, furnishings e.g. mgs game furnishings, lanterns you can switch on or off.

I wonder what it's like to go through the trouble of owning and keeping a house just to never go in it. I go in my apartment at least once a day. Maybe it's for the best that a house goes to someone who will actually use it?

Stop trying to make out that because I didn't visit every single day for 3 weeks that I don't deserve to own a house, otherwise they'd reduce the auto demolition limit from 45 days to 24 hours.

Thank you. I also noticed on bug report forum that someone else has experienced the same thing, so I'm gonna post in there in regards to having lost my home.
